is it one post here and/or there or a ton of new posts about the food? do they say what the complications are? i mean can you prepare for them-such as if someone is complaining that they didn't have a reservation in the computer this can be solved by confirming your reservation before you go, getting the confirmation # and bringing the printed confirmation wtih you. to me being treated like 'royalty' is a bit relative-it all depends on the person's expectations.
just so you know if you dont like the food there are about 300 great restaurants within a 10 minute cab ride
I've been stalking tripadvisor since we are going to the royal in April. The posts I'm seeing aren't what I would call bad. Yeah, there's some negative comments about the food but that's very subjective. I'm a very picky eater but I'm pretty sure I'll find something I like.
As for not being treated like "royalty" again, very subjective.
As far as some of the complaints I've seen about rooms not ready or not the right room. A) did they try to check in before true check in time and
did they do the online check in (if applicable) or bother to call (or email) the resort directly and confirm the reservation including room details? I've already been in contact with the resort directly (via email) when I upgraded our room. I have every email sent and received just in case there is a problem when I do tr online check in or when we get there.
My philosophy is each trip is what you make of it. If you choose to focus on the negative (no matter how insignificant) then you will have a bad experience. Instead, focus on the positive and you'll have a good experience ( or at least an ok one). Heck, I got food poisoning in Antigua for the majority of the trip but I didn't let it stop me from at least having an ok time.

It seems like everyone I know is talking about this place right now. They have said nothing but great stuff about it. Ignore TA and have a good time!
Hope you have a great time!
I know I'm anxiously awaiting our return trip there. Ughhhh judt over 6 months to go.
