LOL...my mom is a breast cancer survivr so MIL will buy me some pink things b/c she knows I like to support it.  So for my birthday, she gave me a small pink frying pan.  It's cute.  Then she says "It's perfect for cooking for one and I noticed you guys don't have one."  She watches M at our house during the day.  I got home on Tuesday and she says "Oh, I tried out the frying pan today".  I was busy with M and didn't think much about it until I was putting the dishes away.  Then I thought...wait, we very rarely cook for one.  If we make eggs or something, we cook for both of us, etc. SHe is the one who would use it during the day.   I said something to DH to ask if I was being sensitive and he said no that he thought the same thing.  He was working from home and came out the office to see her using it.  He said he thought about telling her that we were going to return it so she shouldn't of used it.  He's so bad.  Smile
