Building a House/Good Architecture Websites?
Hi ladies I was wondering if anyone that built their house had any good architecture websites to check out floor plans & ideas? Thanks so much!

Re: Building a House/Good Architecture Websites?
We've been looking online at house plans and designs, I just googled house plans, and came up with a bunch of sites:
http://www.thehousedesigners.com
http://www.eplans.com/
http://www.dreamhomesource.com/ etc.
Then we picked out the plans and styles we liked. Now we are working with a builder, and having them make the changes to the plan that we liked the best so it is exactly what we want. Also http://www.houzz.com/ is cool for house ideas.

Any builder will have a plethora of plans and will be able to draw up a home for you as well as make suggestions.
My first step was picking out a lot to build on - checking to see if there are builder restrictions (having to use a specific builder).
I believe if a home is under 5,000 sq feet, you do not need to involve an architect. A truly custom drawn home can cost you $$$ - so is time with an architect.
Be sure to check out new construction open houses to see what you do and do not like with certain builders.
