Did you see the news of the 6 girls that attached the mentally challenged woman. Those are my students- well, not mine right now, but those are the types of kids that are sitting in my classroom. And it's funny that the state wonders why they don't succeed....
Re: my students
The Rowdy Roberts
OMG...that's horrible!!
How do you deal with them all day??
Yes, this x a million!
Yes, this x a million!
I agree.. I don't know how you do it daily.
x another million from me.
I deal with 3 of these schools. One is an actual district school the other 2 are off site programs that we just provide meals for. Just going into the schools to do site reviews drives me insane. The complete and utter disrespect these kids have is appaling. I worked in the school when I first started out and thought it was bad, but it has progressively gotten worse over the last 4 years.
The boy who murdered DS's father last year attended one of them. I first saw him a few years ago when he first came into the program. Most of those kids are lifers and its a damn shame.
Steph, for you to actually be their teacher takes more patience and desire to teach than I could ever have in my entire life. I commend you for doing that. Even though they are heading down the wrong path they still deserve the right to learn and its people like you that give those kids a chance to turn their lives around for the good.
I agree too! I can barely handle my 3 yr olds temper!
