Re: (Untitled)

  • I have a friend who has a very nosy family member. This family member will look inside mail envelopes on the table if they're out at my friends' home! Some people just can't help themselves. She has learned to tuck those things away before this family member comes over. While I'm sure FIL had at least some good intentions, if they tend to be the nosy type then this sort of situation could happen again. It's good that you and your DH discussed it and made decisions that are best for the two of you. I would pursue any refinancing options available to you without telling them about it, not that you should have to tell them otherwise but in light of this incident I would definitely keep it quiet so they can't try to intervene or become more pushy about it after trying to do it in the first place. It truly is not their business, and you and your DH should never ever feel pressured or obligated to appease them with such information.
