what do you want this year?
my mom is demanding lists. i have like 3 things on mine and my mom likes a large list to pick and choose. which is annoying because really i just want those three things.
Re: christmas wishlist?
I've solved that problem by telling my mom to just give me the money hehe. She seems to be ok with that, especially with two grandkids on the way 3 months apart.
What I would really want are a Macbook and a fancy smansy digital camera. If DH and I decide not to do gifts and buy one gift for both of us, I think we will buy the Macbook as our gift to each other.
The only thing I can think of is a Le Creuset dutch oven. There's no way I'll be getting one, though. Too much $$$
What I really want is for my family to not go overboard with gifts for A. They will definitely not listen to me. I'm grateful for their generosity but baby girl is going to grow out of the stuff she already has before she gets a chance to wear it all.
blame my mom!
John's family's wishlist is due in 10 days. I've been working on Brooks' list for a few weeks, but I need to put mine in writing. Here's what is on my mind:
- car detailing, like a bigger one that I wouldn't pay for for myself
- outdoor glasses http://www.potterybarn.com/products/outdoor-drinkware/?cm_src=AutoCatRel

The hubs and I have already agreed that we won't be exchanging and if we do buy anything it will be a joint "gift" ie something we can both use. A few years ago we bought a new TV, so something like that.
For the past couple of years, Mr.D and I have only exchanged one small gift.
Since our parents are divorced and remarried, it's just so crazy trying to buy for 8 parents, siblings, step-siblings, half-siblings, etc. And I don't want everyone to stress over finding something for us either and having to send lists to everyone. I'd just rather spend time together like going out to dinner or other excursions.

I want a lot of expensive things this year: RM bag (pretty sure this isn't happening), Kate Spade watch, Lens for my DSLR, clothes steamer, additional Barre classes. Oh, I'd also like a renewal for my InStyle magazine, nude flats, and a leopard scarf.
I blame Pinterest for my ever growing list - it seems to "know" what I need.

Rebecca Minkoff has a major online sale on Black Friday (online...sign up for her emails) and I think one the day after Christmas (?). That's the only way I can buy those bags.
Good to know, I've been stalking the discount sites, but nothing has popped up yet. I'm signed up for her emails, so maybe black friday will be the answer. I don't want a new color, so hopefully I can get a good deal.

Check amazon too from time to time. I got a black nikki bag on there for about 60% off a few months ago!
Being that we head back to Disney in January, I already told the moms no gifts for us, we will take Disney gift cards. It makes it easier for everyone so they seem happy to comply.
Other than that, some stuff on my wish list: new wristlet, neutral color ballet flats, gold KS watch, a few new nail polish colors to feed my obsession

Ugh that black Nikki is still torturing me. Maybe I'll get up to NYC for the sample sale next year.
I would love to scale back this year, but I know both of our moms, and there's no way they'll comply. I think DH and I might do the joint gift for ourselves this year. Don't know what it will be, but there are about a million things on our list for the house.
The only thing of any significance on my list so far is a Keurig. I have a Tassimo, but it's starting to crap out, and I'd rather switch to Keurig. Oh, and an emerald ring to commemorate DS's birth -- but that's not happening.
