S/O dentists: any recommendations?
my current one is ok but he's always trying to sell me stuff. like apparently my insurance only covers cavities found on xrays but he says i could use a few fillings and its better to do it now that wait until they are bad enough to see on an xray and says i should just pay out of pocket for them! i'm not going to do it but its always the same thing every time i see him and making me feel guilty about not paying to have this work done. i'd like to switch dentists....anyone love their dentist? i live in pgh but could go east or north....

If you're looking for one in Oakland, I see Dr. Malvin on Craig St. Really nice guy, staff is very nice, I usually try to get an 8am appointment and they have me in & out of there.

Not sure if you work in town but I love love love Dr. Christopher Hayner. Now that I am working North of the city and not near town, I am going to be really bummed if I have to find someone new.

I am in and out fast. Never had to pay for anything extra. I really really like the practice.
I went to high school with Chris! Seriously nicest guy.
I go to Dr. Ott on McKnight in the Acadia Office Park. I cannot speak of cost since our insurance covers everything. But he is a really nice guy.
My dentist is in Dormont, I'm not sure what part of PGH you're in.
He's wonderful.
