Free For All Friday and weekend plans
Re: Free For All Friday and weekend plans
Plans:
Today - just finished work; cleaning and preparing for arrival of my awesome friend and maid of honor from our wedding. She's in town for work and is staying to see us tonight and her brother tomorrow night. YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY!
Saturday - hanging w/ Amy, seeing her off to Brooklyn in the afternoon, and just lounging and trying to feel better. My cold has moved into my chest and it's not fun.
Sunday - planning and organizing. I need to lay out what I'm going to accomplish each week, get photos uploaded, and J and I have a plan to start emptying boxes from the storage room and guest room closet, throwing crap away and purging this house once and for all!

as for random thoughts.....
I'm in leggings and a yoga sweatshirt hoodie. will BFF care if I don't put on something cuter? I hope not, I am achy and tired.
I hate cleaning. I love organizing, but I hate keeping up with the cleaning.
My tummy hurts today. not sure why.
I pitched a company to sponsor a blog post for the first time. No response 24 hours later. Hmph.
I'm a September photo a day dropout. Again.
I love my Ikea office set up. Seriously love.
Speaking of, I need to finish actually filing my crap next week too. Maybe tomorrow during some downtime. *sigh*
Signed up for a blog challenge in late October that sounds exhausting but fun. Can't wait, hope it helps traffic!
My therapist said I should write a book. Um, about what?
I'm fat again. Grrrrrr.
Ok time to fill up my water bottle and get cleaning!

Double date tonight! Rest of the weekend is me on baby, laundry, and grocery shopping duty while DH works on house projects.
Sometimes being a working parent just plain sucks. The big RI Kids Consignment sale changed the format and instead of staying open for after-work hours on weeknights, they close at 4 or 5pm. And instead of being open all day Saturday and half day Sunday, they're just doing the half-day Saturday. Does not leave me any good options for getting there and finding what I need!
My FIL got seriously injured in a preventable accident with his post hole digger (was tired and forgot the 3rd pin before turning it on when he was working on his farm in OK). He is mostly ok, but has 30+ stitches on his forehead and lip, forehead is now infected, and his left shoulder is all sorts of bruised. He was supposed to come out here to visit and see DS for the 2nd time in a few weeks. Now we're left wondering if he'll still come because he needs a real break, or flake (again) because he can't work on the farm now and will need to use that time to do so. I hope he realizes that he truly does need the break. This should serve as his not-so-gentle reminder that it's time to slow down.
I need to clean our bathroom.
I need to find time to clean out our basement. We have a big pile for Goodwill and the rest needs organization so we can more effectively store things down there. The current system (if you can call it that) is just not working.
My OB said that she's excited to "work with" my DH again. She gushed about how well he did at supporting me (I went med-free last time) and said he should be a doula.
My DH has no idea what a doula is.
DS hasn't slept with his paci the last 2 nights. He actually has slept much better without it than the previous 2 weeks with it. Here's hoping the end of the paci is near...
Today: maybe watch the movie that came in from Netflix. DH is supposed to go to guitar practice for church on Sunday, but he hasn't been feeling well. Don't know if he'll be venturing out or not, since he was home sick and them working from home this whole week.
Saturday: if the morning is nice, we have a family fun day at a local farm/creamery for DD's preschool. Then an old friend is visiting, so I am going to meet up with her a little later. Dropping off some leotards to another friend, and placing my soup order for another friend's son's school fundraiser... Lots of running around
Sunday: church. The bishop is going to be rededicating the old school building as our parish center, and it's a big day at my church. Hopefully watch some football and have a yummy meal. But, definitely need to get some housework and cleaning done.
I am breaking my daughter's finger-sucking habit. She was starting to hide it from me, so I pulled out the big guns and have been painting her nails with the "yucky polish," as she calls it. It's been one week, and I can count on one hand how many times she forgot and stuck her fingers in her mouth. Her reward for breaking this habit is painting her fingernails. She picked out pretty pink glitter polish for her first mani post-habit.
We painted our toenails today. DS wanted his done just like his sister's. So, while hers are alternating purple and pink, his are green and blue. My husband's not too thrilled about it, but oh well. It's his toes, not eye makeup ;p
My kids are playing in the plsyroom unsupervised. Any guesses how long it will take before one of them starts crying or screaming?
