Alright ladies, let's hear what you thought of September's book!
October's book will be:
The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America, Erik Larson
Hey, Hey Hockeytown!

Re: Gone Girl Discussion
I didn't read this month's book, but I hope everyone enjoys Devil in the White City...I read it awhile ago, but I can still participate in the discussion =]
Anyone read/going to read J.K. Rowlings' new book? I was thinking of taking a break from the series I am reading to read it.
Yikes, it's $17? Maybe I'll wait until it comes down in price, too! I also have heard "mixed reviews" but I am trying to stay away from reading anything about it because I don't want to prejudice myself for/against it. You know, like if you hear something is mind-blowingly, change your life awesome...it often has a hard time living up to that reputation (although it is still quite good!). Same way with reading something is terrible, then I can't help thinking that.
I also think I'll have a hard time moving past HP, but at the same time if her mind is creative enough to invent the HP universe then I think she'd be able to craft an interesting story no matter what the subject. I'll just wait until it comes down in price.
