Happy Anniversary fellow 10/1/11-ers! I can't believe it's been a year.
It's exciting! Took the cake out of the freezer last night and it smelled sooooo yummy. Can't wait to eat it after dinner!!
I wish I could have some champagne out of our toasting glasses, though! LoL!
I had my second bridal shower one year ago today. It was a small one in a park. This one was hosted by Matt's sister and mom, since they couldn't come to my big shower my mom hosted. A few friends came and we played a couple games, I opened a few presents and then we just talked and ate some treats. It was a fantastic way to take a few hours and relax exactly one week before my wedding day.
At that bridal shower my MIL brought along the earrings she wore in her wedding and asked me if I would like to wear them in mine. It was perfect. Earrings were the one thing I hadn't found yet. I was wearing the necklace my mom wore in her wedding, which were freshwater pearls. And my MIL's earrings matched absolutely perfectly. It was a great moment when I said I would love to wear them. That was when I knew she really did care about me and that our relationship would grew to be a really great one, even if it was a little slow going at first.
Also... CONGRATS to everyone who is celebrating their 1st today! You made it a whole year!!!!
