Clicky poll!

Just curious to see what other couples fight about.  Plus I stole this poll off of another board because I'm BORED! :)  Feel free to elaborate if you'd like.

Re: Clicky poll!

  • Here's my completely biased view of every argument we've ever had:

C: does something irritating that is still pretty normal kid stuff

K: gets irritated but expects C to be capable of something he's just not yet

me: defends C and tells K he's being unreasonable.

Repeat the last two a few times. Compromise.

  • Our arguments are usually over something trivial. It's .... I don't like the way he says something or he doesn't like something I have asked him to do. We can typically nip it in the bud, but if we don't, we both end up super pissed over something that was stupid to begin with.

In general, we agree on the topics listed above (sex, money, religion, kids, etc) so fights are behavioral things that annoy one or the other. Usually.

  • Personality differences, hurt feelings, and expectations.

We never really fight about the topics you listed (although we have plenty of fights/disagreements).

Pretty much this, exactly.  We don't fight often, but when we do it usually comes down to one of us having hurt feelings over a misunderstanding of expectations (which is likely caused by our personality differences).

  • Our arguments usually revolve around the frequency of sex.  He wants it a LOT.  We've been able to find a happy medium lately, though, so that's good. I'm more of a 1-2 times a week kind of girl these days.

  • We don't usually argue about any one topic. Most of the time it stuff that we have let build up and then when we get frustrated we kind of explode. I know it's not healthy, but most of the time it just doesn't seem worth the fight. For example: DH leaves paper towels on the counter or an empty box of something in the pantry. I'll let it go a couple of times but then there will be something that triggers my annoyance and I'll go off.

    Yup. Sounds like us.

  • We rarely argue, but when we do it usually stems from hurt feelings, normally mine--I'm so d@mn sensitive lately, especially when it involves G.  Trying to work on that because I'm annoying myself.

  • I picked housework.. but really it's more that DH picks videogames over housework 99.6% of the time. And now we've added (we being Time Warner cable...) NFL Network, so I expect it will get worse. DH works evenings, and I work days. What that means is that I'm home 6 hours a night with N alone to cook dinner, do bedtime, homework, housework, laundry, etc. DH gets up about 9ish takes N to daycare, and that's it. Videogame extravaganza. Is it wrong to sort of expect him to do some picking up without having to be nagged or promised sexual favors?
The length of a minute depends on which side of the bathroom door you are standing on! Photobucket
What do you mean that's the wrong side? Tastes great to me!
