Came across this article, and I normally wouldn't open it. But I decided to open it it to see if crib and car seat were on the list, and surprise surprise, they were of course. So now you have it from a reliable source to show those naysayers that you have in your lives.

I think so, but you KNOW her, and you KNOW what she did with the stuff, and you KNOW how old her stuff is.
She offered it to you???? That is great!!! I know that you thought that she might not. How did telling everyone go?
Yes, she offered it to me! I'm soooo happy because this could save me $1,000 or more! Telling everyone went well. SIL actually cried and MIL couldn't stop hugging me. FIL didn't seem too trilled but later DH asked him if he was happy and he said yes.

I found a blog where the lady talked about similar stuff but it was all baby related. She had youtube videos and lots of links to other articles. She went in depth on how long you should use rear facing carseats and everything. I like this link better, it's easier to get through. Thanks!
I also agree, Tara, that since you know your SIL, it would be okay to accept all of her stuff. Hopefully she'd be honest about whether or not the carseat had been in an accident, ect. It's the strangers that want to sell their stuff that probably wouldn't tell you.
