hi! I know i'm a newbie to this board and someone usually posts this. But i am SO antsy for the weekend (long week at work!)!! Any one have any good plans?
I'm pretty bummed about the weather but so far it seems to be playing out like this:
Friday night, in night with the H, my choice of movie this week
Saturday- friends bridal shower/brunch and probably going home after to some cleaning (yay)
Sunday- We are headed to boston to grab some lunch with some friends and check out their "new" condo (they bought it over a year and a half ago and we've yet to go see it!) and celebrate their engagement/going away party since they are moving to tokoyo for a few months. While we are there we are thinking of going to the Sowa market since they live nearby after...anyone been?
Monday- my plan is the scituate art festival- depending on the weather. I haven't been in about 10 years... has anyone been lately?
Re: Weekend Plans?
ps. i just read that and it seems liek a LOT crammed into a weekend. I promise we aren't usually this busy or out and about. usually out weekends consist of house work, grocery store and walking the dog at the park.
DH is working on Monday, so it's not even.a long weekend for us. Although, DD doesn't have preschool on Friday or Monday, so I'm trying to think of something fun to do with the kids.
Boo, I have to work on Monday! Sucks that we don't get Columbus Day off. Anyway, Fri. night we'll probably be going to DD's school's football game to see her in the marching band. Saturday morning, DS has soccer clinic, if he's feeling up for it (he's not feeling well today). Then I told him we'd decorate for Halloween while DD2 naps. No plans other than that! Sunday, just church and hanging out with the family. I wanted to go apple picking; guess we'll see how the weather is.
I haven't been to the Scituate Art Festival in probably about 10 years too!
You're welcome to post anytime about anything on your mind!
I'm bummed about the weather, too. Hopefully it won't be as bad as they're saying. I need to find indoor activities for DS because he was miserable at home in the house all weekend last weekend!
DH is away from Fri-Sun (be back Sunday dinnertime) and has to work on Monday. Kind of a downer 3-day weekend for me because of it. But...
Friday: no plans. Hopefully get DS to bed and have a little energy left to clean a room or two in the house. DH's dad and stepmom are coming a week from Saturday and there is a lot of sweeping/dusting/vacuuming/sheet changing to do before we pick them up from the airport!
Saturday: Hopefully hanging out with one of my "mom friends" and a lot of shopping. I need to pick up DH's birthday presents, some stuff for the house, and some clothes for me and DS.
Sunday: Maybe the Childrens' Museum or a playground if the weather is nice, grocery shopping, and celebrating DH's birthday for a few hours once he gets home.
Monday: Playground or museum again, and hopefully meeting up with one of my old friends who I don't see much anymore. She's been flakey recently, though, so I'm not sure if this will really happen or not.
Nothing too fun this weekend.
Flu shots for the kids Saturday morning. Grocery shopping after.
older DD has a friend coming over to play Sunday.
I would love to get some sewing done this weekend. That is my stress relief. I feel better when I create something. I have a few Halloween costume to gets done and some dresses for our Disney trip.
this is on my list too. I actualyl don't sew but my mom has a brand new sewing machine in the closet that my dad bought her last year when she decided she wanted to get "back" into sewing. My DH keeps trying to get me to take it from their house because he can actually sew. They used to make them take sewing classes in high school so he has 4 years of classes under his belt. I really want to start making presents and cute gifts for all my pregnant girlfriends

Friday night is always pizza and movie here at home. This week: taco pizza!
Saturday: apple/pumpkin picking at 10, then playdate with some of Ben's classmates at 2 if the weather holds out.
Sunday: NOTHING.
Monday: I took the day off, DH has it off, and we're sending the kids to daycare. An entire 9ish hours of getting things done around the house, a lunch date, and some alone time. First real day like this since the kids were born!!!!!

JEALOUS! DS's daycare is closed, or else that would be my plan for Monday, too!

DH has to work tonight so it's me and the kids just hanging out at home. I have a calzone baking in the oven now for dinner.
Saturday-Scituate Art Festival in the morning. I went last year for the first time and loved it. Meeting up with some friends for Pinkberry with the kids at night.
Sunday-no plans...DH will go to his friends to watch the Pats.
Monday-I don't get it off, so I have to work. Our daycare is closed, so DH is staying home with the kids. Ironically our daycare is closed Columbus & Veterans Day and both mine and DH office's are open that day. We get off Martin Luther King day and Presidents Day and daycare is open those two days. We;ll drop them off those days and have a day date.
