Salad

So my bff's grandmother died- she was 87 and it was time...but still SUPER sad. The funeral is  on Saturday and I said I'd make a salad for the luncheon.

Anyone have any good add-ins or recipes for a big salad that won't cost too much?? Maybe something with a dressing already on it so I don't have to bring dressings?

Re: Salad

  • My mom had a good one.  It's mostly spinach and nuts and fruit and I know she puts a dressing on it ahead of time.  I will ask her today and get back to you tonight if that't the kind of salad you're looking for.

  • I personally love strawberry salad with poppy seed dressing but its kind of a sweet thing more than a dinner salad.

  • I'm sorry for your friend's loss.

You could always do a simple Caesar.

  • -km sorry for your loss! I might just do a simple salad and go to the grocery store salad bar and get a bunch of small containers of different fixins and the put them out so people can build their own salad. And then buy a bottle of dressing.
