It's Thanksgiving and a long weekend in Canada!
Tomorrow we have a wedding celebration for a good friend (she got married in her current city, not home town where I am now, so for those ppl who couldn't attend the actual wedding, she's doing a party here. We did go to the wedding, but any excuse to have fun...)! Rumor has it there will be a cotton candy machine!
Sunday we have Thanksgiving brunch with MIL and BIL and then dinner with FIL & Co. Thanksgiving dinner with my family is the following weekend as my mom is OOT.
Monday is our anniversary, so we'll be spending the day together. We have a few ideas on what to do, but nothing set in stone just yet.
Tonight we're going out to dinner to celebrate DH's new job. He accepted a job offer yesterday as an in-house lawyer for a company, so he's leaving his government job in a month.
Tomorrow we're cleaning and going to a friend's housewarming party.
Sunday, sadly, we are going to my great aunt's funeral.
Monday we have off, so we're going to meet with a travel agent to plan our vacation we're taking next month to mark our 1 year anniversary and DH's new job.
Vhati is playing poker over at his Dad's house tomorrow night; they have been trying to get a game scheduled since June, but they couldn't because Vhati's old manager had kinda checked out and stopped really caring about doing the schedule; they're supposed to get their schedule for the next month during the last week of the current month, but their old manager was giving them weekly schedules, sometimes on the first day of the week it was for. She is no longer with the company.
Other than that, we have nothing planned. I don't go with him to play poker. It's not really my thing, so we established for early on that poker would be his thing to do without me.
Yay weekend!
Saturday into Sunday we're going back to where we honeymoon-ed. It should be fun. I want to go to the beach and H wants to go back to a cool pirate themed mini golf place we went to last year. Other than that I have lots of work to do. I'm supposed to be 2 weeks ahead on lesson plans and each weekend I've only been getting the week coming up done :P
DH is out of town this weekend, so I have the house all to myself.
I'll be cleaning and relaxing since I just got back in town myself.
