Help me plan for Baltimore!
I'm in the beginning stages of planning a trip to Baltimore for my hubby and I in July 2013 for our 6th anniversary. Any hotel recs? Things to do? We have a fairly small budget as I'm getting ready to go back to school. We will probably stay 3 or 4 nights. We like pretty much any kind of food and love trying new things. The Poe grave is on the top of our list of things to do. Would also love to check out the Poe House if its re-opened before we go. Anything advice or suggestions you can give me is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Re: Help me plan for Baltimore!
There are a lot of cool, fun neighborhoods here to check out!
Fells Point is great, and has lots of little shops and places to eat (along with a fun nightlife). It is also a place where Edgar Allan Poe is known to have "hung" out, so that would be cool for you guys

A great hotel in that area, is Henderson's Wharf

Since you are planning to come during baseball season, you could go to an O's game. Our stadium is really awesome, and it's a great place to see a game!
The stadium is within walking distance to the Inner Harbor, which has lots of shops and eateries, along with paddleboats, ship tours, The Science Center, etc.

You could also check out Ft. McHenry, which is the birthplace of the National Anthem

A cool way to get around all of these places, would be the water taxi, which makes stops at Ft. McHenry, Canton (another cool neighborhood), The Inner Harbor, etc.

For awesome food, you can't go wrong with Litte Italy. Yum!
