I heard on the news that it snowed in Denver. I'm not sure how close you are to Denver but I'm wondering did you get snow? If so, that's awesome. I love snow.

I am about 1 hr from Denver, but we did get snow. Only about .8 of an inch. Its enough to cover the car and ground. We are hearing it won't stay. Next week it is suppose to be in the 60's. Yesterday it was FREEZING! And of course its the day that the children at school are suppose to walk downtown to watch a parade, and the principal is out, and the decision is left to me if they can go!

Well that's cool. A little is still nice. When was the parade? Yesterday? What did you decide?

The parade was yesterday for homecoming. I let them go but they had to be dressed appropriately.

Good for you for letting them go. I would have too. When I was a student teacher in a kindergarten class my cooperating teacher always wanted to have indoor recess because she would complain that it was too cold. I would conveince her that it was okay and the kids would be so happy when I would say "grab your coats, we're going out!"

I volunteered to stay back with kids that couldn't go. Which worked out, because I didn't want to freeze my butt off.

Kids need to learn

1. to dress appropriate for the weather. Natural consequences!

2. running, jumping, and playing will enhance their learning

3. That we don't always get what we want.

Now- its still chilly, but the snow is gone. The sun is out.
