Yesterday was absolutely PERFECT!
I didn't really sleep because I was SO nervous... ok, I ended up making myself sick. I found out last night Jeff was nervous too and ended up driving to NJ to relax. But once I started getting ready I felt better.
Hair place was GREAT, and here one of my elementary school BFF's mom did my make up! She about made me cry getting ready because they were like my second family growing up. They were coming to the wedding, so she let me have some touch up makeup, only I lost it! Opps! We got done with enough time to go to salad works. Mom took Lilly home with her and I had a blast with my 2 BMs (my sister and niece already left).
We got to the venue and got ready, got some pictures out of the way, and next thing I know we were lining up for the processional! I realized then the rain held off and it was SO SUNNY! A little windy so the unity candle was a bust for mothers and us.
I almost cried coming down the aisle because Jeff was tearing up. We both held it together. The ceremony is a blur... but I did see Lilly throw ALL her petal at the altar, and then pick them up again. And during my vows, she was running her little fingers up and down my back. At rehearsal she hugged me the whole time so I figured she'd do something.
We got some AMAZING pictures afterwards, I saw some and I can't wait to see the rest!!! My photog never been there and he kept going ok, this is the last set, then we walked somewhere and he's like I lied... come over here. He's like ah I have to stop or you will never go to the reception. The one picture I saw and can't wait for is a silhouette of us kissing with the sunset. Reception was great... only my sister forgot Jeff's name during her toast, she was nervous. OMG Steph - the mugs were a hit!!! Everyone wanted a picture of us with them!!!
Friday night I had Lilly. We went to Walmart for snacks for our "sleeping party" (I think she was mixing a slumber party and sleep over). In the middle of walmart she takes off her cardigan and swings it over her head going "let's get this party STARTED!" So I asked the DJ if we could get her to say that before the dancing started. OMG cutest thing - EVER!!!
Everything was perfect. My venue rocked (even if I was pissed at the coordinator). Anything we asked they were on it! Just everything flowed so nicely, it was great. We got sooo many compliments on the food, the landscape, tent.... just everything. It made me feel so good people enjoyed themselves. i think that was a fear of mine.
I had a blast and can't believe it's over with! So weird calling Jeff Husband!
