Decorating & Renovating
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
I would like to start a blog but would love to get feedback about which platform is easiest to use/understand. I am somewhat familiar with mainstream hosts, but would love to get personal feedback. Right now, this would be more of a hobby, but the subject matter has potential to generate some revenue from local vendors. If you have made the transition, I would appreciate any tips or feedback on how to stay current and relevant.
Also, if you don't mind posting a link to your blog, I would love to check it out (but completely understand if you would want to keep it private).
Thanks

My Blog:Through My Eyes
I just started one on blogger. It is very easy to use (thankfully, because I know very little about programing)
Link in siggy :-)
I use blogger, I have used wordpress before when I wrote as a contributer to another blog, and I wasnt a huge fan. I think it was just because I was so used to using blogger though.
My link is in my sig.
Depending on how serious you are I'd go with what I'm using which is called Site Build It. The reason I suggest it is because I don't know a bleeping thing about how to build a website, get traffic, make money BUT this walks you through all the steps with videos, forums and support. It's $30/mo or $300/yr and it does take time to get it going. Nothing is overnight.
OR, a lot of people like using wordpress because it's free. My husband is using it but I haven't tried it because I like my SBI.
My blog is in my signature and if you click on the bottom it of my site where it said "Built by SBI" it will tell you more about it.
Good luck!
