Marvelous Monday
I thought we could do a different take on Monday moans. For Marvelous Monday, what is everyone looking forward to this week? Also, any tasks on your to do list you are going to cross off or accomplish?
Today I am enjoying my day off and DH and I are going to the Cardinals game later!
I am looking forward to my friend's wedding on Friday.
I am going to make tacos for dinner on Tuesday night. I haven't made dinner in a very long time. (I am not that big of a cook. Luckily DH is!) I need to get home at a decent hour and before I am too exhausted to do it.
Re: Marvelous Monday
I am enjoying my day off! It came at the right point too, as the students and I all needed it. Our next official teacher day off is a half day on the 5th following conferences. It's nice to have a day to recharge.
I had my hair done this morning and I just got back from running to Walmart. It was nice to be able to run in and out without lines or crowds! Going to read a little bit then paint the bathroom so we can get the toilet reinstalled.
I also have today off..Yay! We were going to go out and take a hike this morning, but the crummy weather made us decide to stay home. I got my hair cut, ran some errands, and currently have chocolate chip cookies in the oven.
This week is quite busy. We have a baby shower at school on Wednesday and a bridal shower on Friday. Typically no big deal, but I am in charge of presents and cakes for both showers. I also got drink duty put on me by another coworker who has her sons in town from college this weekend. I also have a meeting on Thursday and Girls on the Run on Wednesday. Uggh...These are our last showers for the whole year..unless someone gets pregnant or has a quick wedding. These are the small duties I have this year and they are just one extra thing I don't need. Sorry..this sounds more like a moan, but I am glad they'll be done with soon! :-)
I did NOT get the day off....(seriously, I work in education but get hardly ANY holidays, almost no vacation time and summer is my busiest time of year - what gives?)
Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing all our out of town visitors and throwing DD's 1st birthday party this weekend!
I worked a half day today, so it was nice to sleep in, at least!
I am looking forward to this weekend! I am taking my mom to a glass blowing studio for her birthday. This weekend is their glass pumpkin patch where they fill the yard out front with beautiful glass pumpkins you can buy. Also, they have a workshop where you can sculpt your own glass pumpkin (with guidance, of course), so I think that's going to be a blast!
