Politics.

Are you and your partner on the same side, politically?  Are one (or both) of you extreme polar opposites?  Do you debate issues?

Re: Politics.

  • We were on opposite sides but since he's gotten involved with the teacher's union he's moved more towards my side on some issues.  We debate sometimes but it doesn't go well so we try to avoid discussing it haha!
  • J is very very very much to  his side.  i am in the middle.  The debates we have are.... how do you say.... Passionate.  I can see both sides of arguments... j, not so much.

  • same side... we're both liberals. The issues we care about differ though.

My dad and one brother are both conservative though. Actually both my parents are registered republicans, though my mother has become much more liberal over the years.

  • Im not one to get my panties in a bunch about politics, so we never debate but we are usually on the same side This election we are not.
  • We are both on the same side - however, i am further left than he is so we still tend to disagree about certain issues.
  • Opposites. My parents were opposites and his parents were opposites.  I hate getting political with DH because he listens to such off the wall radio, NPR and his ex-navy buddy's crazy talk.  Overall I am more Independent but registered as a democrat to piss him off.

My sister and dad get into heated debates and political talks with DH all the time and it drives me crazy.

  • i guess i am more independent and my DH is right wing. I honestly dont pay any attention at all to politics so we rarely talk about it.  There are some things we agree on and some we dont. No one in my family or his is really big into it so its not often brought up

Sound like our house, but we don't really discuss because I don't have the energy most nights. :)

  • We are both on the same side. We hate debating issues with other but we discuss some things between ourselves.
