Brrr... what's cookin' and keeping you warm this week?!
What's everyone eating on these chilly nights?!

My three sons!
Re: Brrr... what's cookin' and keeping you warm this week?!
Sat: Brinner (pancakes & eggs)
Sun: crockpot pork chops (they were just ok), mashed potatoes, broccoli
Mon: chili
Tues: spaghetti, salad
Wed: leftover chili
Thur: baked chicken
Fri: date night for Brian & I! My mom is babysitting, so whatever they end up eating
Jake - 1.15.08
Liam - 5.17.11
Let's see....
Friday & Saturday were pizza / leftover nights
Sunday: we ate lunch kind of late so I think we just picked at whatever was in the fridge
Monday: pork roast in the crockpot with mashed potatoes (For the roast, I added a seasoned it with salt & pepper, then added a beef stock cube, sliced onions and apples, and watered down apple juice, and cooked it for about 4.5 hours. Since I didn't follow a recipe, I was a bit nervous, but DH raved about it.:) )
Tuesday: leftovers with fresh broccoli (maybe roasted or cheesy?)
Wednesday: lasagna I had in the freezer from a couple of weeks ago
Thursday: taquitos and mexican rice
Friday: frozen pizza, probably
Saturday - Sunday: I'm off, so I'll probably make a casserole on Sunday for a couple of nights' dinner, and DH will probably grill steaks, which will also get us a couple of nights.
ETA: I'm hoping to get a new microwave this weekend, since ours crapped out last week. It's been difficult living without one with leftovers!!
My three sons!
Monday: Apple djion pork roast; baked potatoes; roasted parmesan broccoli & cauliflower
Tuesday: Leftover hot sausage on rolls; sweet potato fries
And that's as far as I've thought about! I hope everyone else has some good ideas. My freezer and pantry are stocked with food, but I have zero inspiration.
Monday: homemade chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese
Tuesday: shrimp scampi
Wed: leftover soup
Thurs: pot roast (i hate that there's a steeler game on thursday!! I feel like football has overtaken my life).
Friday: Crab Risotto
Sat: taking my niece to splash lagoon, hopefully japanese hibachi somewhere up in Erie.
Sunday: not sure ye
spaghetti
salmon, french fries and corn
porkchops, apples/onions and couscous
escarole and white beans over pasta
veggie bibimbap (rice, veggies, fried egg)
Nothing especially cold weather, aside from the porkchops. That is a fall food to me. This weekend I will likely make some chili or a chuck roast or cottage pie.

Monday -frozen ravioli & garlic bread
Tuesday - meatloaf muffins, redskin potatoes & spinach
Wednesday - crockpot chicken salsa
Thursday -salmon, yams & brocoli

Saturday-Wedding
Sunday-North Park Lounge
Monday-Stuffed peppers and mashed potatoes
Tuesday-Ruebens & sweet potato tots
Wednesday-burgers and chinese slaw
Thursday-baked chicken breast with veggie
Friday-?
Saturday- out with my parents
Mandy, they're frozen in a bag from Costco, I think the brand is Me Lyng or something like that. They're chicken and vegetable dumplings and they're delicious.
We do make our own sauce for them and serve them over brown rice.
We cook the dumpling in a wok in the sauce, it's all to taste preference:
Olive oil to coat the pan
Soy Sauce
Garlic
Onion powder
Crunchy peanut butter
stir until the sauce is smooth, pour over dumplings, boil, then simmer.
That sounds sooo good!
Sunday - pizza
Monday - leftover pizza
Tuesday - chicken and stuffing bake (love this!) http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/stove-top-one-dish-chicken-57497.aspx
Wednesday - BLTs and kluski noodle soup
Thursday - cheese ravioli and salad
Friday - leftover chicken

I have been trying to use the crockpot more and get back into the swing of meal planning. So far, so good.

Sunday ? Eat?n Park
Monday ? Ravioli, Stir-fry veggies, raspberries

(It was supposed to be sausage and lentil stew, but when I went to fill the crockpot last night I realized that I had used up the lentils?)
Wednesday ? Eggs, blueberry pancakes, asparagus & potatoes, pears
Thursday ? Homemade pizza, sweet potato fries, apples
Friday ? School event from 6-8pm. If they don?t serve food we?ll leave early and eat out.
