F/U to Sleep training

A HUUUUGE THANK YOU to everyone who gave their experiences and input in my sleep training post. We started Ferberizing on Friday (9/28), instead of 50 wake ups a night, we are down to 1 (2 nights he sttn)!!!! 2 of the nights we put him in his crib and he didn't make a peep. He just went right to sleep...ahhhhhhh. :::knock on wood:::: Soo again thank you for your help with this. xo

Re: F/U to Sleep training

  • That's AWESOME. It's such a hard decision to make bc it breaks your heart. But hearing from other people you know that it worked, helps. Enjoy your sleep :)

And since my post of *bragging* about my great sleeper, we've been having an awful sleep regression. And sleep training a stubborn 2.5 year old who can half talk is a whole other ballgame. Not fun.

  • Wooop Wooop Nik! That's awesome - go TJ! I'm so happy it worked out for you guys. It's super hard, and I had/have lots of friends who don't agree with CIO-ish like we did, but it has worked for us so meh.

Kendra, I hope Mr. D gets back on track with his sleeping. Silly 2 year olds.

I hope to not get flamed for this, but we started WAY early because little miss nosy would NOT take naps and I was being run ragged by a screaming no-napping child 24/7 for 3 months. It wasn't pretty. I was at the end of my rope and went to the pediatrician to rule out anything else. So yeah, we started at 3 months.

  • I did it with K and it was an amazing difference - she went from up literally once an hour to STTN.  I'm waiting for her to get her new furnature in, and then get S into a crib rather than PNP and then we start with him.  I cannot wait.
