AW: We finally have a grown-up house!
So, I've talked on here before that DH and I (along with our 70 pound dog) live in a one bedroom condo near downtown Atlanta. The condo is on the third floor of the building with no elevator. We love the condo, but it is simply too small for our growing family. We haven't unpacked most of our wedding gifts and we have literally out grown this place. We have boxes piled everywhere and on the rare occassion that we are caught up on laundry, all of our clothes don't fit in the closet. Well, we've been looking at houses since June, and we have made three offers. Well, it looks like we've FINALLY found one. We've been going back and forth with the seller for about a month, and today it looks like we've all agreed and it **seems** like we will finally be moving at the beginning of November! I don't want to get too excited until the closing happens, but I'm so relieved that the house-hunting phase is most likely behind us. I agree with those who have said that buying a house is way more stressful than the wedding!!
I'll keep you all posted!
Here is the house:

Looks awesome! Hope it works out for you guys. Love the trayed ceilings and the POOL!!! (Community, I assume?) Either way, I'm jealous!
Moving from our 2 BR apartment to our 4BR house felt so weird...like, all of this space is really ours?? Even after we moved all our stuff in, it felt empty because we had so little furniture. Buying a house sucks, but moving into a house and making it your own is fantastic!

Congratulations! That's so awesome!!
For me the period between the offer being accepted and closing was more stressful than the house hunt. Hopefully it won't be that way for you guys!
Good luck! :-D
ETA: Wow! Just looked at the pics, that house is huge and GORGEOUS!!!

Congratulations! The house is beautiful. I think you picked a house that will serve you and your family very well for many years. Love the backyard. Looks so well maintained and all the trees and plants make it look really homey.
Buying a house is by far the most stressful thing you will do, but living in your house will be the most enjoyable and lovely thing you will love! Best of luck during all the closing process.
