With today being sentencing day and all, I felt the need to post a link to his last minute, "i'm innocent, i tell you" rant.
I don't know if I can think of a person who's disgusted me more in recent criminal news. And whoever was managing the media on his entire case should never be hired again, I can't think of anything he's publicly said during interviews that was a good idea.
Bets on the final sentence? I'm thinking 100 years.
Re: Jerry Sandusky
I think based on the pics of him right after the conviction, where he honestly looked shocked that he was found guilty, he's either mentally unstable or just really, truly delusional and (still, as the tape proves) in denial.
How does denial play into mental instability, anyway? Does it?

The Judge decided = minimum of 30, max of 60

I will agree with one thing that his case came to trial & was tried quicker than any "high profile" case I have ever seen. I don't know if it was b/c it was in Bellefonte PA vs Florida or LA but usually cases with the amount of counts that were against him would take weeks if not months to try. His took less than 10 days. He was indicted in Nov & tried in June - 7 mos is unheard of for a case to go to trial. Cripes it usually takes years. The other two on lesser charges don't have their trials scheduled until January. So that either speaks to the fact that there was no evidence to uncover to build a defense for him or the complete incompetence of his attorney - i think some of both.
All that being said I don't think any more time or a different atty would have made a difference.
How time flies! Caileigh (9), Keira (6) & Eamon (3)
I totally agree. I think he sees his actions as not wrong, which is so sad and scary.
Sheila, I was thinking the same thing on the speed of this case. I was shocked when it actually went to trial this summer. The stupid baseball perjury case in federal court was a month plus, and this case was 10 days. I give the judge credit for keeping it moving and not letting it turn into a total circus.
