Hey all! So my dh and I are traveling next weekend for 4 days...we orginally thought Niagara Falls (originally posted) BUT with our rapid rewards, we may go somewhere else bc it's less points.
Denver, CO- Boston, MA or Providence, RI...never been to any of these- we are from IL and these are what I've gotten it down too. I've found plenty to do in Denver- but not sure about Boston or Providence yet. Anyone live there or visit there before? Any help would be wonderful! I have to book these soon and am trying to research them. Honestly- I see that Boston and Providence are about an hour away- so we could do both of these...we'll have a rental car.
Re: A few places to choose from- any opinions on them?
I would do Boston/Providence. The fall colors there will be amazing and Boston has such a great historical atmosphere there!!
If you go there - Legal Seafoods in a MUST!!! They have amazing crab cakes and lobster bisque!
Well, i think the easy one to eliminate would be Providence.
Boston is awesome and so is denver. You should also look at Newport RI~~
My husband is from RI, and I agree that this will be a great time to be in New England. Boston has so many great things. If you venture to RI, there are neat things to do around Brown University. Also, it is more of a day trip, but you can take the ferry to Block Island where you can rent a smart car or scooter to tour the island. Or, you can spend time around the beaches. Narragansett Beach is really nice too- of course, it depends on the weather. If you visit RI, you must visit Newport!
if you're going to just stay in boston and possibly visit one other place (that you can't take a train to) then there's absolutely no need for a rental car in boston. there are millions of things to do there.
why not hit your library and get a book about it?
Thanks everyone! We decided to fly to Providence, RI then we'll drive to Cape Cod, Boston and Newport. If anyone has anything they think would be fun- I'd love to hear! Also- where to kind of go in the evenings in any of these places, it'd be greatly appreciated!
