Stupid Discover card...
Since DH all our banking and checks our account at least twice a day, I always use my Discover card to buy things for him that I don't want him to know about for holidays. I spent Sunday morning making him a calendar for as part of his anniversary present. I put pictures from the past 12 months on the corresponding months pages for 2013...kind of a look back at our first married year. I know he will love it and I was so excited to surprise him! Too bad when I went to pay they didn't take Discover and I had to use our debit card....so now he'll see Mixbook as a purchase. Not that he'll know exactly what it is...but he'll know its something I made with pictures

Yeah I totally agree. This year is the first year all our money is together, so Im trying to figure that one out myself.
DH likes that with our American Express, because hes the primary account holder, I can only see how much the total bill is each month (along with whatever I used my card for) not what he spent on what or where he bought it. Unless I log into his account. But hes good about not checking the bill if I tell him I bought him something with it.
The calendar is a great idea though. I should make one for Chris for work. He always uses the generic one work gives him. I had to go in and decorate his office and put pictures up. There are still the same pictures from 6 years ago up!
Who did you use again?
I asked if he could resist checking til after our anniversary but since its not until the 22nd, there was no way he'd agree!
I used www.mixbook.com....it was only 19.99...minus the 25% off coupon I had...i really like the site.

DH and I have seperate accounts so I don't have that problem, but that is annoying

Genius! I never would have thought of that!
I hate this about Costco...I had my pin number stolen (not from Costco) with one of those skimmer machines a year and a half ago so we never use debit...always credit....except at Costco.
