Where to get family pics in December?
I'd like to do 1 year pictures for Jack, combined with a few family shots. Being in December, I'm not sure outdoor pics will be an option.
Anyone have ideas for spots in the area (outdoor too in case of good weather). I'm also trying to avoid any place decorated for Christmas.
And while we are at it, feel free to throw out any recs of photographers. Thanks!

Re: Where to get family pics in December?
Wannmaker's comes to mind but it will Be busy not sure if the store would allow it.
Longwood gardens inside. That way you could get he flowers and stuff too.
I would if you'd be allow to do them in like please touch or another museum?
I am not familiar with this venue at all, but it looks like there are some buildings on the grounds of the Morris Aboretum. http://www.business-services.upenn.edu/arboretum/gardens_buildings.shtml
For photog recs, I'm using my wedding photog for the same type of shoot this Sunday. I love her. http://azzolinaweddings.com/
I think Longwood Gardens would be a great backdrop. Or maybe at a Christmas tree farm and you could do some posed shots and some action Christmas tree chopping shots. I know there's a farm in Chester county that has reindeer. That could be really cute!
eta: duh. I just re read your post that you're looking for non Christmas shots. What about Valley Forge Park?
We will probably need to do our maternity pics in December since I am due 2-28. Someone suggested Longwood Gardens to us.
If you don't want Christmas and outdoors, what about Peddler's Village or New Hope? I know you probably have already thought about those options but just throwing them out there again.
What about a local college/university? Chestnut Hill College is beautiful and so is Arcadia. I had Danica's 1 year / Hunter's 10 year pictures at Arcadia this past May and I really liked the location.
For indoors, what about Feeney's Garden Center in Feasterville? I have so many friends who do pictures there every year. The only thing is that by December, they will be more Christmasey.
I'll try to think of some more places, too.
Thanks for all the suggestions so far. HW - Arcadia is right down the street from us so that may be a possibility, as well as New Hope because that's where Mr.D grew up.
And yeah, trying to avoid the Christmas shots due to the whole birthday-in-December thing and trying to keep them separate.

Good point Jess. We could, but I always love to see other people's photos that are done in parks, the city, etc. The backgrounds seem just as interesting to look at.
Plus, I'd really have to do a clean and I'm lazy

I want to say letranger did her most recent set in her house and they came out great. Correct me if I'm wrong!
I wish we had a house to do photos in! It's purely my jealousy peeking out.
Lol I totally misread the no Christmas thing.
We did do a set in our old home. It was fun. We did the most recent at Franklin square. But no indoor spaces there.
We did m's 1 year in front of a plain white drop cloth at our photog's loft. Since we did night shots.
No ideas for location, but my friend Jeff is out of quakertown and travels. I love his family stuff - sabottaimagery.com
