You know what's the worst part about the gbcn and nest boards
They are both half dead. Ever since the spilt. Both don't move very fast. People on gbcn seem to not mind since the same clique but no new blood seems boring and then all the boards are really just off topic boards about regular member's lives.
All the new posts on the best have no one to reply to.

I hear ya. When there are too many inside jokes/references on the boards (like on gbcn), it tends to prevent me from posting.
And I think the whole secret, invitation only What's Cooking board is ridiculous.

ITA with all of this, especially the WC board. They only post on the public nest/gbcn boards to whore out their blogs, which makes me less likely to give them any traffic.

I can't deal with them. They are entirely too self absorbed. No wonder they have to promote their blogs to each other incessently; they probably wouldn't get much traffic otherwise.

I like the ease of posting on GBCN and the app is awesome. I just wish that there were more newbies.

Seriously -- P&CE did the same thing. I do not understand wanting to post of there is no new blood.
