Caribbean Beach Resort-Disney-any good?

We are booking a disney trip tonight, we were able to get a great deal with that hotel....looks nice on the site.  wondering if anyone had any experiences

Re: Caribbean Beach Resort-Disney-any good?

  • We stayed there in 2007 and had a FABULOUS experience. It's been a while since we've been back to that particular hotel just because we like to try all the different ones. I head they've renovated since then. We actually liked Caribbean Beach over some of the deluxe's we've tried! I believe we stayed in the Jamaica building. We paid extra for a king room.

  • We are DVC members and always stay at the Boardwalk.  We walk by the Caribbean Beach every night when we stroll around the lake and we have eaten there as well.  The pool is huge and really nice.  The restaurants there are also pretty good.  The best part...  The convenient location to Epcot and MGM.  Not to mention all the stuff on the boardwalk to do.  It's a prime location and, IMO, can't be beat.  Beach, Yacht, Swan, Dolphin, and Boardwalk are the best resorts, IMO, just because of location and all there is to do there.  FYI, if looking for fine dining, Swan and Dolphin both have AMAZING restaurants.  So yummy.....

  • I think the PP is talking about the Beach Club, not Caribbean Beach.  Caribbean Beach was renovated in the last few years and the pool is great (zero depth entry, water cannons, water falls, etc.)  The rooms also have a really subtle Nemo theme and are cute too.  What i dont like about CB is that they have double beds and no elevators.  Caribbean Beach is the same price as Port Orleans Riverside (even with all the discounts, theyre the same) and I would probably choose Port Orleans Riverside over CB.  POR has the boat to Downtown Disney as well.  At either hotel, id consider upgrading to a preferred room if you plan to eat at the hotel a lot (even just quick service) or go to the main pool a lot.

  • lol  i love the beach club but not in our budget this year  but thank you  :)

we stayed at port orleans last year and were very happy with it, but wanted to try someething different.

the woman i found for our deal is also doing all our reservations for us too....amazing   message me if you need her info.   blown away with her service and price   we priced out 7 other agents and this was by far the best.  i actually found her on pinterest!!

  • We have stayed at CBR 2x in the last 2 years.  We really enjoy it.  The atmosphere is relaxing which is a nice change from the parks.  The beds were doubles but I thought I heard they were changing to queens when they renovated.  We had good bus service, enjoyed the food court options, and liked the quiet pools in the villages as a change from the busier main pool.  I would definitely stay there again.
