Christmas Card, is this weird?
I was thinking of making one of our wedding photos our christmas card...is that weird?
to put like seasons greetings over the photo and write in it like "have a happy holiday, from the newlyweds".
or one with like us holding hands and my ring and write something like "may your days be merry and sparkly" (maybe this is REALLY lame)
would you think it was strange?
Last year, i got a card of my friends and their dog, a photo card and i made fun of it and thought it was totally lame...now i am a hypocrite because i thought if we didn't do a wedding photo I'd use our engagement photo with my dh and i and the dog.

Not weird at all! We did wedding photo our first year married for sure!!!! and now we do the kids, makes sense to me!
My fav card that we get every year is a friend who sends a picture of herself on one of her adventures each year - so awesome! she's single, travels,a nd has a blast, and her cards are the best.

I don't think it's weird to do your first idea of a photo of you two. I do, however, think it's weird to be just your hands and ring... I like photo cards that show me up-to-date pics of the people in the family and/or what you've done that year. So a pic of you at your wedding is totally appropriate - I'd just make sure your faces make it in
You could also do a card with multiple pictures, one of your engagement pics, a wedding pic, another random nice shot of you two if you have one or even just a wreath, or if you get the new house a pic of that, etc.
I mock photo cards when they include the dog in the signature, but I wouldn't bat an eyelash at a card with the family dog in the pictures. Or just the dog and no pictures of people would also be strange to me...
(and I'm also dying to do a photo card this year, even though I swore up and down that I would never consider it ever. Hypocracy at its best!)

haha my cousin and his girlfriend (live in) did this last year. It was just hte dog and the tree and I was like "uhhhh ok...."
I see what you meana bot the photo with our faces in it. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't like "shoving my wedding in everyone's face again". I really wish i did the holding hands photo as a thank you- but i had to get my thank yous out- it was hanging over my head!
Photocards are really fun and i do like them. but my favorite one of all is the riddle i get from ym great aunt. She has a photo of her next to random items (last year it was her pointing at the camera like "you" and a thing of tide and a bunch of random "things" so it was "yule tidings".)
