Halloween costumes!

What are you/SO going to be for Halloween (if you're dressing up)?

What's your kid(s) going to be?

I need to figure out a costume for myself (we're dressing up at work)....suggestions welcome haha!

G is going to be Superman!  I can't wait, I think he's going to love his cape. Big Smile

Re: Halloween costumes!

  • No costume for me...I'm pretty boring! But E is going to be a strawberry!! I made a huge red tutu with black rhinestones all over it and its tied together with a line green bow. I will throw a white onesie and leggings on her and some black flats...I am beyond excited!!!
No....click me!!!! Cause I'm the wedding bio! Bloggin it up! Prince Charming stole my heart and we rode off on his white horse... • Dude! C2 is totally going to be Superman, too! Did we see the same idea on pinterest? hehe. Probably. I'm a pinterest addict.

We're going with the superhero theme and C1 is going to be Spiderman. H and I were going to be something superhero related... not sure what yet. Maybe Batman/Batgirl. Cat woman is kind of a slut so I don't think I'll do Cat woman.

  • Future Navy Wife---that's so creative!! E will be the most adorable strawberry.

Blinking--That's funny! I didn't see anything on pinterest, but when DH and I were talking about costumes we decided G needs a cape. Then we went to Walmart, held up the Superman and Batman costumes, and G grabbed Superman. So Superman it is LOL! I was thinking of doing something superhero-like too but I don't want to have to buy a bunch of stuff, so I don't know....

  • I'm not dressing up and neither is H...but tiny is going to be Bumblebee Transformer.  Last year he was a cute little shark.  I'm not liking his choice if you can't tell!  If I could make him be something, I'd dress him up as a cowboy.

  • Thanks driller!! I'll be sure and post tons of pics on FB.

Blinking...I think you should do Wonder Woman!! I have seen some cute ideas on Pinterest too. Can't wait to see your pics of C1 &C2...they will be so cute!

I am taking E's costume idea and translating it into a pumpkin outfit for a friends little girl. She is going to be so cute! She is a month older than E so we are going T or T with them.

  • DH and I don't dressed up for Halloween. But M is going to be a fairy. I know not original but she saw the costume at Gymboree and loved it. I originally wanted her to be Audrey Hepburn that I kept seeing on Pinterest, but the lady on Etsy who makes it was almost a month out.

  • I feel like a bad mom. I wasn't going to dress G up for Halloween, but everyone keeps asking me what he's going to be. Halloween is on a Wednesday, and G goes to bed at 7, so I guess I don't see the point? We're not going anywhere, and he'll dress up for Halloween in the future.

Maybe I should do something just for pictures? Am I missing something?

M was only 7 months for her 1st Halloween. We got a little cheap costume to take pictures in since we didn't actually go trick ot treating. We did take her by the ILs and they dressed up at her daycare.

  • H and I are not dressing up. For Hadley, I fell in love with this teeny tiny tutu. It's red silk with white polka dots and black tulle underneath. I'm going to use that, add a black onesie, and make Minnie Mouse ears. She'll only be two months old so it's just for pictures and we might go trick or treat my mom, grandma, and a few friends.

    1) you're not a bad mom, silly.

    2) I forget, is your family in town? I know my mom, grandma, etc wanted to see C1 in his costume for his first Halloween (he was around 10 months, not walking). So we bought him a little lion costume and made the rounds to the grandparents' houses. He was still in bed at the normal time and we didn't trick or treat.

Nope...that makes a difference! I didn't think about that. My IL's are 50 minutes away, and my fam is in Texas.

Don't feel like a bad mom!  G was only 3.5 months last Halloween, so obviously we didn't do TorT and I didn't want to pay for a costume that was only for pictures.  We borrowed a monkey costume from BoyMom, took some pics, and called it a day.

Honestly, I wasn't even sure if I was going to get G a costume this year either---he's in bed by 7:00 and I'm not going to attempt to keep him up late for TorT.  However, his daycare class is having a Halloween party and his teacher will be taking pictures and said she'd love for the kids to dress up.  So we decided to get him a costume :)

  • We're not going trick-or-treating, but we're doing this downtown Stillwater Halloween thing that we did last year. JJ's going as an Army man; I'm going as a Cowgirl.

  • my daughter (she's 5) wants to be She-Ra.  as a child of the 80s I cannot deny her request because it's awesome!  I have to sew her costume though. I better get on that.  I have no clue what my son (2.5 yrs) wants to be.
