Re: What are you looking forward to this week?
That sounds SO fun!
I'm looking forward to a few exciting dinners with friends this coming weekend. My birthday is next monday.. so I plan to drag this out!
All kinds of things! Since I've become a SAHM, my social life has really expanded. I didn't realize I was the only one that worked.
Tomorrow we are getting a storm door installed, Tuesday I have dinner planned with two girlfriends, Wednesday I have a lunch date with another friend, Thursday we are going to visit another friend, and Friday my sister and I are going to Affair of the Heart.
I'm looking forward to dinner with a friend this evening, but sadly, I'm probably most looking forward to a visit to a doctor to get a steroid shot. I've been having an allergic reaction to something and everything itches, even my scalp. I have been straight up miserable and unable to sleep / zombified from Benadryl. I'm dying here.
Other than that, I'm looking forward to a couple of kid free afternoons and then some fun pumpkin related activities next weekend with the family.
Strangely enough, I'm looking forward to some parent conferences later this week. I only have 3 scheduled at this point, but when I confirmed the meetings, two of the parents said they wanted to meet with me because their kids enjoyed my class so much, so they wanted to get to know me a little better! I thought that was really sweet.
Tuesday I'm taking some band kids to hear a local university's wind ensemble concert. Last week, I took orchestra kids to a special orchestra concert where the guest was a Broadway singer. The kids had such a blast and I was able to get the tickets really cheap. Tomorrow night's concert is free for the kids and the parents! It makes me feel all special.
I also hope to get a lot done around here over fall break. I have someone coming in to fix some drywall mid-week, then a friend or two and I are going to paint the hallway. Someone is coming Saturday to install a door directly into our garage (currently you have to go outside to the side door, it's totally stupid) and I hope to get the last of the doors painted so we can get those installed.
My mom is coming to town Thursday, so I'm taking Thursday and Friday off work. That will be nice! On Saturday she and I are going to the OU game. I'm thrilled I'll get to spend all that time with her!
Oh, and Mom's birthday was last week. So I ordered a cake from Raspberries 'n Creme for when she comes. I'm unnaturally excited about this cake too.

Ribbon cake?!?
Thursday is our 4 year Anniversary! We have to work but I am sure we will do dinner that night.
I am also looking forward to the weekend as it is Homecoming for OSU. Friday night is walk around and then I plan to go have drinks afterwards since C has to work after walk around and then Saturday I plan to tailgate!
There isn't really much going on for me this week other than OSU's Homecoming.
We (my mom, aunts, cousins, etc - the general football crew) heading to Stillwater on Friday afternoon. We'll do walk-around that night and then head to the tailgate and game on Saturday.
Of course!!!

YUM! Nice choice! I love that cake
Omigosh... I love ribbon cake. I may or may not have just drooled on the keyboard.
What do you mean that's the wrong side? Tastes great to me!
