Halloween is getting closer. H and I don't do much anymore. We do enjoy buying and carving pumpkins. We would hand out candy but our area isn't a trick or treat spot. Makes us sad. Last couple of years we dressed up and went to a Halloween party but this year we have no plans except for pumpkin carving.

Re: Halloween
We will probably hand out candy. We used to do pumpkins, but didn't last year because of the wedding & this year is looking to be really busy! Out of our combined 6 immediate family members (moms, dads & siblings), 4 of them have October birthdays! So it's a hectic month.
We are going to a party, and it's a costume party. But we have to dress like a WWE wrestler (really!?). But - I was thinking about going to a costume shop & buying the belt, and wearing an Aaron Rodgers jersey (I love him!)
What do you think of that idea? DH said "Cute idea, but he's not a wrestler." I think it'd be fun...

Well, it's a school night so I won't be doing much :P
I don't know if we'll end up with trick-or-treaters or not in our apartment complex, but I'll probably buy a bag of candy just in case. I want to get a costume to wear to school. My teachers used to dress in the student uniforms (Catholic school) for Halloween, but my kids wear khakis and school polos so it's not really a "costume".
Maybe I'll geek it up with suspenders and pigtails or something.
roasting the seeds really is the best part!
Didn't vote because none of them apply to us.
We never get kids at our apartment; we're located down in a hole, so it doesn't exactly scream "safe candy stops" to parents. For the same reason, we never decorate, because the only people who would be seeing it is Vhati's Mom and her neighbor. There never are Halloween parties around here, least not ones that would be considered fun. We've tried to host some, but a former friend would always try and hijack it to do what SHE wanted to do and no one ended up having any fun.
Pretty much, it stands now that until we move to a better area, Halloween is boring for us, which makes us sad because we both love it; it is Vhati's favorite holiday.
Though this year, we're going to SteamCon the weekend before, the theme is Victorian Monsters this year, so we're treating that as our Halloween party. There is also going to be a Halloween party at our comic store on Halloween, so we're also going to that.
We will get candy in case we have trick or treaters.
Halloween day we go to a little pumpkin patch Halloween area set up just a few blocks away. At night, we dress up the kiddo and go to SIL's friend's annual Halloween party. We take all the kids trick or treating around their neighborhood which is an upscale housing development in the Spring/Cypress area. Then the kids hopefully pass out at their place and we can actually socialize.
