Opinion on a 1 Family House

Hello everyone, my name is John.I been looking to buy a house for a couple of months now. I been looking for a single family home with a possible finished basement. I have found some very good deals but I didn't like the neighborhoods they were in.

I have found a single family home with a finished basement and it's located in one of the best neighborhoods in the Bronx. I have checked out the house and it's in great condition.

The seller originally put it up for sale at $599,000 and I was able to get him to lower it to $565,000. I am willing to give him $525,000 for it but no more than that. At the same time my wife really loves the house and I like it too.

Give me some opinions please. What you think, is $565,000 a good deal or not?

If anyone wants to check out the house, here is the link:

Re: Opinion on a 1 Family House

  • the only people who are going to be able to answer that question for you, would be people from your area.  I have no idea what homes in the Bronx go for, but to me being a person who lives in a very high cost of living area, Boston, it seems high for what it is.  Its nice, I just don't know if its half a mil nice.  Now maybe detached homes in the Bronx go for the kind of money, I just don't know.
