Hi ladies,
I am guilty of not going in for my annual for a couple years, but today..I finally went. After all, who likes them, right? I know there has been talk on the bored about IUD's, so I have looked into them, and thought that was the route I was going to go. I have high blood pressure, so I thought there were only two types of BC I could be on. The progestin only pill, or the IUD (I know there's Depo, but have heard terrible, terrible things) Anyway, today the NP told me about Nexplanon. This definitely sounds like the way to go..for me any way. H and I don't want kids, don't have to worry about taking the pill every day and it's 99% effective. The procedure takes less than a minute..etc..etc...Do you ladies know anyone who has done it? I am going to be on the pill from now, until the end of the year, then just get this first thing next year, so my deductible is met.
