Needing Nestie Vibes

DH's mom was just diagnosed with ulverian cancer.  She is going in for surgery on Friday to remove the organ and then the following week will start Chemo/Radiation.  H is flying out first thing tomorrow morning to head to CA to be with her for a week and a half to help her after the surgery but then to be there during the first round of treatments.  H is holding up well, but is very worried and stressed.  The Dr's think they caught it soon enough and she has a really great outlook so I think when H gets down there and can see her and visit with the Dr's he will be much better.  He is also stressed out because his crazy sister is flying down as well and she just drives him nuts.  When his father was in the hospital before he passed away, she literally would follow the Dr's and nurses and ask a million ?'s.  To the point the Dr's would ask her to please sit while they did what they needed to do and then they would talk to her.  It started to really make my FIL upset which was something that he really didn't need at that point.  H is just hoping she doesn't do the same thing this time.  I told him every family has that one member that just drives them to the brink, this is his!

  • I am so sorry to hear this. Everyone deals with stress differently, and maybe this is how your SIL deals with it. Hopefully your H can keep her in check a little so the doctors can do their work and answer questions later.

My thoughts and prayers to you and your family during this time. I hope she makes it through this and can continue to lead a wonderful life.

  • I'm so sorry, and sending you and your family positive nestie vibes.
  • Sending good thoughts and prayers!
