New House

Hi Ladies,

Things have been crazy here.  We closed on the house last week and the work has begun.  We gutted the basement over the weekend and are now putting all new plumbing in.  We will be tearing out bathroom new week and bringing down walls to make the new master bedroom.  I started a photo diary of the house if anyone wants to take a look it's at  http://newtaylorhouse.shutterfly.com/ .   There aren't any photos of the basement since Mike took it upon himself to tear it out when I was at work Friday and by the time I got there it was a disaster area and it was too dusty to photograph after that.  As soon as the dust settles, I'll get some photos up of that also.

Are you at least getting kind of excited for it now that you're in there making some progress??

Somewhat, but it's really overwhelming.  We picked out fixtures and tile for the bathroom and that was fun, but then I realized the hours worth of work it going to take to install it and almost threw up.

  • Looking forward to the updates!  I'm sure it is overwhelming, but it also sounds super fun to get to pick everything out to your tastes!  Its almost like getting to build a house but you have the sentimental factor since DH grew up there.  Good luck!
