Hey ladies!! We just booked a trip to Disney for this coming February!! We're very excited as it will be Adrianna's first trip! We got the dining plan this time around so we will have one sit down/table service meal per day. I'm trying to narrow down my options so i can make reservations. So any of you who have been to disney i need your help!!
So far i have narrowed it down to breakfasts at Tusker House (animal kingdom) & also Ohana (polynesian) ... then dinners at Chef Mickey (Contemporary) the Princess Dinner in Norway (Epcot) Mama Melrose as part of the Fantasmic dining package (hollywood studios) & Planet Hollywood as requested by DH (downtown)
This leaves me with 1 sit down meal left on our package. I'd like to either add one more breakfast or switch Chef Mickey to a breakfast or the Princess Dinner could be switched to a breakfast as well & then add a dinner? Please help?? lol ![]()
**I must add we're all picky eaters!! lol**
Re: Disney dining??
I would probably switch the princess dinner to the princess breakfast as the dinner serves Norweigian style food and if you are picky eaters, you may not love it. We're planning on doing the breakfast when we travel there with my husband's family (BIL, SIL, 2 nieces, ILs, DH, Sophie, and I) in April.
Also, not a fan of mama melrose's in DHS. The food is pretty terrible there in my opinion, I found the spaghetti there completely inedible, but maybe it's improved since I've last been there (was a few years ago). I know you're limited to 3 choices for the fantasmic package so it's up to you. I'd probably do hollywood and vine.
For an alternative, I'd add breakfast really early at the crystal palace in Magic this way you are already in the park early and can go on the rides directly after. Plus it's a character breakfast with Pooh and friends.
I follow these blogs which may be of interest to you: http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/ (for restaurant picks) and http://www.disneybabiesblog.com/ (for info on traveling with kids).
This is also a great entry on dining and I definitely agree on the choices: http://livinglifeintentionally.blogspot.com/2012/02/dreaming-of-disney-dinning.html.
Lastly this lists all the menus: http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm.
Have fun! I can't wait until our April trip so I'm sure you are very excited!
thanks Nik!! I'm looking into 1900 PF as a dinner option. Its with the Cinderella cast & the breakfast i'm not sure A is really into those characters.
thanks Law - i am def considering switching to the Princess breakfast although i did check the menu & there are one or 2 items DH & I would eat like roasted chicken etc. I'm considering Crystal Palace as i've heard great things but surprisingly enough A is not soo much into Pooh so i'm on the fence! lol Thanks for the blogs i saved them!!
