But i just want to share that I am SO happy. This was happening from my sorority that I was in in college. Back in 04/05 when I was there and was the marketing chair I knew things were awfully fishy with the way this woman was handling the money. Not to mention, she was a total jerk to us all the time calling us "stupid kids" and stuff like that when we asked about the money and where it was going.
It also stinks to know that she was stealing money that was being paid by poor broke college students. Some who worked extra long hours to pay their dues (a girlfriend of mine had two jobs and a full time course load to pay her dues herself rather than ask her parents)...and it feels like that money went ot nothing but funding her jewelry habit (she was always wearing new david yurman and flashing it around)...

Yikes! I can't believe that she would do that... and that she got away with it for so long! If all she did was buy herself jewelry, I bet she doesn't have the $$ to give back unfortunately. I hope they do make her pay, even if it is over a long time!
DH is involved with his college fraternity's graduate board. I can't imagine how she'd have the guts to steal money like that. I know all the grads involved in DH's frat are much more concerned about upkeep of the houses they own and supporting the undergraduate chaper as much as possible. That's the way it should be! (and they have graduates and undergraduate students audit the books - on both the grad board and undergraduate side - to make sure things like this can't happen even with a bad apple in the bunch.)
