We just got in late last night!
OMG Excellence Punta Cana is AMAZING. We had the time of our lives! The place was gorgeous, the food was amazing, they fed us drinks like there was no tomorrow, and the people were SO friendly... really I could go on and on about this place... we definitely want to go back. Jeff said next year, but it'll probably be a few years.
We got the honeymoon package so we got breakfast in bed, couples massage (I upgraded mine since I didn't go before the wedding - ah so nice!), private dinner on the beach and when we got back from dinner, they had the jacuzzi tub ready with bubbles... only we didn't get back to our room until 130 (we went to "our bar" then the disco with 3 other couples we had been hanging out with). I still went in it!
We did 2 excursions - one to an island on the caribbean side. HOLY CLEAR WATER! We took a speed boat half way to the island, and went swimming, we were like 1000 yds from the main island and it was only waist deep! Then we went to the island, had lunch and played for 3 hours in the ocean. Then we took a catamaran party boat back. LONG day, but SO worth it!
Then we did something more adventurous - ziplining! I'm scared of heights but I knew Jeff would LOVE IT, and he did! And I did too! There was one tower Jeff had to encourage me to get up... so glad I did. One line was half a mile long so you got time to look around, such a beautiful country - humid, but beautiful!
Jeff did NOT want to come home, but I'm kind of glad to be home - mainly because I missed my pup. And the way he's consistent looking for attention, I think he missed me too! I am pretty much FREEZING, it's not cool going from 90+ to 40 in a day. Poor Jeff had to get me 2 quilts and a comforter on me last night before I finally warmed up.
There'll be pictures on FB soon, I honestly wouldn't change anything. It was definitely our best vacation ever! And now... I still have 4 more days until I go back to work. No way I could go back today, and I'm off tomorrow. Jeff doesn't go back until Sunday night. Ah, stay-cation after vacation!

Jtwin - OMG everything is a hut there! i'm like what happens when a hurricane hits and they were like OH NO, no hurricanes haha
Uderin - OH NO! We had tropical storm rafael come by, but we just got the spin off storms here and there. Most storms were in and out in 15 mins. Definitely go to punta cana. We went through AAA, so we had everything taken care of... to and from airport etc. Also, please if you go, go to Cafe Kafe bar by the lobby and give Hector Luis a big hug from me! He's so awesome and funny!
