I spent the last 2 days in a class learning about my retirement options. I found it both empowering and depressing.
The baby born after the mother died in the car crash also died this week.
(see "freaked out" post below if you don't know what the heck I'm talking about)
I love love love getting a good deal when shopping. I find it so incredibly satisfying. This brought to you by BJs, their store coupons, + manufacturer coupons.
We have no weekend plans! Well, a lot to do as always, but no commitments this time. I'm hopeful that we will feel rested and accomplished by Monday.
I am happy it is Friday and will be happier at 5 pm when I can head out of here. I've been in the office alone for two days, which is going to be my new "Thing" (alone one day a week usually) and while its FINALLY nice and quiet around here, it also means I am very productive and around this time, 1-2:00 I start to lose focus and end up on the internet, doing a bunch of stuff for the next two hours...
Tomorrow is supposed to be gorgeous and I don't ahve any plans, but i am thinking of taking our dog to Lincoln Woods to get some good shots of her and the lake/trees with the changing colors. And lots of errands.
Then on Sunday we are having over a few friends for a "catch up" get together, since one girl just moved back from NC and another couple is having a baby and moving away--so its just nice to reconnect outside of someone else' wedding or baby shower or baptism or whatever.
That's about it! Can't wiat to relax tonight
We took the kids trick-or-treating at DH's work today. My two Things were well behaved (while there), and we had quite a few people stop and take our picture. This one isn't the clearest pic, but here we are!
Saturday: I'm getting a haircut. I could probably go another week or so before I *need* it, but it will be nice to get it trimmed up again. I at least need them to go in with the thinning shears and help it lay nicer again.
Sunday: church, then hopefully lunch with my family. I'm planning to visit a friend and exchange hand-me-downs for our kids, and maybe catch part of the Pats game with my husband.
Somewhere in there, I need to clean house, and either get to bed early or take a nap. I'm exhausted, and my house is a mess.
