Donating your wedding dress
Would you do it?
The salon that I bought my dress from will be having a dress donation even next month. It is for the Wish Upon a Wedding organization which provides weddings for couples facing a serious illness. I am seriously considering donating to my dress, it is such a great cause and I would love to know that someone else wore my dress was able to be as happy as I was because of it.
95% of me wants to do it and the other 5% wants to cry at the thought! I know I am never going to wear it again and I have tons of amazing pictures of it. Decisions decisions....
Re: Donating your wedding dress
Thats a hard one. I put mine in my mom's consignment wedding shop. It hasn't sold and I am not at all disappointed. I just don't need it around anymore. But its so beautiful.
Think of it this way...you are helping out someone who needs it!
To be honest, I don't think I would donate mine. I love it to much and I have too much sentimental value. I thought I would make it part of a baby's bassonette (sp?) but I doubt that will happen. I need to get it perserved or dry cleaned. I still haven't done that yet.
Married the love of my life on 1-21-12. Our princess arrived on 5-28-13.
Could never give mine up because of the hard work I put into it, but I don't think I could give one up even if I bought one. It is good to pass things on to other people that can use it though.
I have also seen people have parts made into the bassinet or a christening gown.
