How was your weekend?

  • Highs?
  • Lows?
  • Eat/make anything good?
  • Watch anything good?
  • Read anything good?
  • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc?
  • What are you looking forward to this week?

Re: How was your weekend?

    • Highs? DS was home with us all day on Saturday which is the first whole day we've got to spend with him all month. We even got to snuggle with him for a nap which is kind of nice since he rarely stays still these days. And we got a lot of painting done in the living room.
    • Lows? We didn't get as much painting done as we had hoped. DS is suddenly refusing to nap in his crib or at all.
    • Eat/make anything good? Spice cake with cream cheese icing that my MIL made.
    • Watch anything good? Not really.
    • Read anything good? No.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I can't wait to have my house back. It is such a mess right now but I think it's going to look great when we're done. DS learned to say "I love you" which is all kinds of awesome.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Finishing painting and starting to get things put back together!

  • Highs? This sounds terrible but not doing anything big for DH's bday.  He wanted to keep things lowkey and it was nice just the two of us celebrating on Saturday.  Also, my whole family went to PA yesterday to celebrate my aunt's 80th.

Lows? My inlaws freaking out Friday night about the "tornado".  Unnecessary stress for DH and because of it, we had to rearrange dinner plans so I feel bad that he didn't get to eat where he wanted.

Eat/make anything good? I had french onion soup and a strip steak yesterday that were both so good!

Watch anything good? Started watching Season 2 of Mad Men

    Read anything good? No

FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? Until about an hour ago, I was 1 week ahead in my brain and I was thinking election day was next week and that I was going to be off next Tuesday.  Was disappointed when I realized I was wrong!

What are you looking forward to this week? the calm before the storm...this is probably my last week before the holidays where it's going to be kinda quiet.  Next week at work will begin Open Enrollment and then outside of work, DH and I have a lot of stuff going on.  It's good...but I'm afraid I'm going to blink and Christmas will be here.

  • SK, that's awesome the C is saying "I love you"!!
    • Highs? Friday night's trunk or treat event was more fun than I anticipated, and we had a great time at the pumpkin patch on Sunday. I'm also proud of myself for mastering the Moby wrap enough to wear Liam at the pumpkin patch.
    • Lows? I caught a nasty cold and was in tears on Saturday night because of it.
    • Eat/make anything good? We went to Bob Evan's after trunk or treat and while I'm not usually a fan of that place, the turkey dinner I had was delicious. And the rolls. And the banana bread. I may have overeaten. Oops.
    • Watch anything good? I've been catching up on the second half of the first season of Once Upon a Time. I was watching it last year then for some reason, lost track of it. I just have the season finale left and then I can start on season two.
    • Read anything good? I started reading Top of the Rock: Inside the Rise and Fall of Must See TV. I haven't gotten far at all, but given my TV addiction, I think I'm going to enjoy it.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I have to buckle down and start planning out how to pack for our family of four to go to Disney World next week (!) and I'm dreading it. I feel like we're going to need a ridiculous amount of crap, but I know that once I sit down and actually plan it, I'll be able to condense it down to a more manageable amount of stuff.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Liam and I are going down to hang out with my Mom and sister tomorrow during the day. I feel badly because Mia's going to be in school and I know she'd love to go, but it'll be nice to just take Liam down for a bit.

    • Highs? Went to two new parks and saw some beautiful foliage. Also had a blast at the Baysox haunted house.
    • Lows? I need to get a new pillow. My shoulders are killing me.
    • Eat/make anything good? Didn't cook but had lots of goodies out. Apple cider donuts, cherry pie, sausage gouda souffle and a pumpkin spice latte
    • Watch anything good? Boss and Dexter. Also liked That's My Boy.
    • Read anything good? Still reading Hemingway's Girl and I just started the 2nd Harry Potter.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I don't understand why people can't RSVP.  We're having a party this weekend and all of DH's friends (1/2 the guest list) haven't RSVP'd. I'd really like to start grocery/alcohol shopping tomorrow night and it will make a big difference if they are coming or not. Really annoyed.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? I'm trying out a new hairdresser and I'm going to get some highlights. Hopefully it turns out okay! Also looking forward to our Halloween party!
    • Highs? spending some time with friends on Saturday.
    • Lows? C is sick again and up all night long.
    • Eat/make anything good? I made pumpkin muffins yesterday. Yum
    • Watch anything good? A few of my dvr'ed shows.
    • Read anything good? I'm still reading Fifty shades Darker. I also picked up Gone Girl from the library this week.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? Is it Friday yet?
    • What are you looking forward to this week? The boo at the Zoo this weekend.

HUGE pet peeve of mine!! Especially these days where you can just email a reply or click a reply on Evite or whatever. It's not hard, people.

  • Highs?  Hanging out with my sister on Saturday night, eating pizza and watching the third RHONJ reunion
Lows? Getting up at 4am Saturday and Sunday to go to work.
Eat/make anything good? Pizza.  That's always good :)
Watch anything good? We watched the first three episodes of 666 Park Ave.  I love it!! We also started Revolution, against my better judgement.  I knew I would enjoy it but shows like that always get cancelled.   I am going through SOA withdrawal. I really want to start Season 4 but it's not on Netflix or HuluPlus.
    Read anything good? No
FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I don't really have anything to say.
What are you looking forward to this week? Carving pumpkins on Saturday

    • Highs?  MD's homecoming was Sat, and it was sooooo good to see so many people! I have no clue how I missed Kaybee and HoosierTerp, but it was a great day overall!  I also took off on Fri and got a lot moved. We will be finishing up tonight, so I will be very happy once everything is in the house!
    • Lows? My house is a disaster! I only put away some kitchen stuff, but other than that, I have no clue where anything is :(

    • Eat/make anything good? We had homemade meatball subs on Sat and they were amazing!!

    • Watch anything good?No tv for this girl all weekend
    • Read anything good? I have no clue where my books are :)

    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? My renter lady is still a PITA, but I'm trying not to let is stress me out as much.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Getting my house in order!
    Visit The Nest!
    • Highs? We went to NYC to meet up with my parents, who had flown in from Arizona. We hadn't seen them since December.
    • Lows? I said something about my older sister on Saturday night that I thought my parents knew, and they didn't (and it wasn't something good). Luckily, my mom had a few martinis and doesn't remember, but my dad does, and I feel terrible for saying something. My parents are really secretive about my sister and her issues, they don't tell me a lot of things, and it was something I found out accidentally -- so I thought they had hidden it from me. Nope, they actually didn't know.
    • Eat/make anything good? Tons of great food. Amazing pasta with mushrooms and truffle oil for dinner on Friday night, delicious food in Chinatown (although terrible service) on Saturday afternoon, and a great piece of cod on Saturday night.
    • Watch anything good? I caught up on Grey's Anatomy and Nashville last night. I am just obsessed with Nashville.
    • Read anything good? not really.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? We have to fill out these annoying timesheets at work detailing what we do "for budgetary reasons." They said it was only going to be two weeks; now it's been two weeks, and they're saying a month.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? I start a nutrition class at the community college tomorrow. My husband started a new job today, so I'm looking forward to hearing how it went.
    • Highs?  Just a nice mellow weekend at home.
    • Lows? DH was sick on Saturday and DD is being a PITA behavior wise lately, we need to figure it out.
    • Eat/make anything good? No - I made several new recipes this weekend/last week and they were all - meh.
    • Watch anything good? More Breaking Bad
    • Read anything good? I'm about 80% done w/ Gone Girl, but I'm scared to end it based on what I've gleaned from other reader on FB, Good Reads, etc.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? Not really
    • What are you looking forward to this week? End of it?  I'm starting Monday w/a headache - not a good sign!

  • Highs? My mom's birthday is today and we got together to celebrate on Saturday night.  The woman is such a saint, it's nice to be able to honor her when we can. ;) We also finished emptying out the nursery and had it painted on Sunday.  Our guys did an amazing job and I am *so* happy to be rolling with this project.

Lows? That this morning came. :/  I've been working insane hours lately and my deal chilled out enough this weekend for me to have a couple of mental health days.  Praying things stay calm enough for semi-normal hours and some time with my kid now that I'm back to work.

Eat/make anything good? Not exciting in itself, but I actually got to wake up early Sunday morning and make a big breakfast for DS, DH and myself.  It's probably laughable from the outside - but the chance to just feel like a mom cooking breakfast for her family was pretty great since I've been treading water just to get through the days with work and pregnancy exhaustion lately.

Watch anything good?  We've been watching Revenge on Netflix and are down to the last couple of episodes on there.  I really, really like it!

Read anything good?  Started The Passage.  I really need to get my hands on a great book that's not depressing, though.  Feels like everything I've read lately has been a major downer.

FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I'm just really grateful to have had a couple of days of down time and time to get stuff done around the house.  By Friday night I was ready to cry from exhaustion.  Between work and the house it's been really hard to stay ahead of things and I really just needed those couple of days to regroup.

What are you looking forward to this week?  Maybe checking off a few more things for the nursery?  Not sure - just hoping it's better than last!

Oh how I hate timesheets!! We bill our clients for the hours we work so I have to fill out a timesheet and account for all the time I work down to the quarter hour. It blows.

    • Highs? Lots of relaxing and DH and I took a much needed nap together on the couch which hasn't happened in a while since I usually hate napping.
    • Lows? Taking pictures of Bailey on Saturday was an epic fail. She wouldn't stand or sit still, wouldn't look at the camera and definitely didn't smile.
    • Eat/make anything good? Went to La Tolteca for dinner after the picture fail and it did not disappoint. So delicious!!
    • Watch anything good? Watched Juno again on Saturday and forgot how cute that movie is.
    • Read anything good? Nope.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I feel like my house is never clean. As much as I organized and clean obsessively, with all of us home all day it just never stays that way. And why oh why does a bathroom stay clean for all of 10 minutes? Why do I even bother?
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Our anniversary dinner out and my cousin's wedding.

    • Highs? DH came home from being out of town. Hanging out with friends on Saturday. Sunday at Blob's Farm with friends.
    • Lows? I got really sick Saturday night. Early Saturday morning when I was in the attic I noticed that the wood on our roof was wet Tongue Tied Guess, we'll be getting a new roof in the spring. I've contacted people about fixing it, but they've all told me that it was basically not worth it. (We have a slate roof).
    • Eat/make anything good? I'm still getting over being sick, so nothing was particularly "good".
    • Watch anything good? Finally finished last season of "The Walking Dead"
    • Read anything good? Reading "Good Omens" by Pratchett and Gaiman for book club.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I slacked and now I am being REALLY cheap. I just don't want to spend $15 or $20 on a costume that DD will wear ONCE. I could have made something for less, but I ran out of time. I've looked at some consignment shops, but haven't seen anything worthwhile.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Boo at the Zoo and having DH home.
AlternaTickers - Cool, free Web tickers
    • Highs? Took some pics of SIL, bro and their boys for fall. Most turned out well.
    • Lows? DH and I had a fight Sat night and he walked out of the house, which angered me even more. So he came home and I got to leave, which NEVER happens. I am always home with DD and Jade. He always gets to go do whatever he wants to do.
    • Eat/make anything good? Haven't really enjoyed anything as of late.
    • Watch anything good? DH and I love Once Upon A Time. I was trying to catch him up before last night's episode. He also watches The Walking Dead and was trying to fill me in on everything that's been happening. I watched some of it last night with him but it is quite violent/gory!
    • Read anything good? Nothing lately
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? Not really
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Getting DD's costume together. Hoping to do pics with my nephews sometime this week or next for my parents.
    • Highs? More time at home than we've had all year. We took some gross, old cabinets and furniture to the dump and organized the utility/laundry room. We are still throwing away the previous owners crap almost a year later. Next stop: the attic.
    • Lows? I was pretty sad that the Ravens lost. Also, I really wanted to make s'mores but DH wasn't interested and I wasn't about to build and sit next to a fire alone.
    • Eat/make anything good? I made homemade meatballs for the first time and really enjoyed a new (to me) pumpkin beer.
    • Watch anything good? Caught up on Sons of Anarchy
    • Read anything good? No I am in the middle of like 3 books and they are all boring me, so I need to just abandon them and read something new.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? DH's sister is annoying me about Christmas already. She doesn't want me to tell him that she is the one asking, but she wants him to be more detailed on his Wishlist and "prioritize" his items so she knows what he wants more. What ever happened to making the effort to choose a gift? I need to figure out what I'm going to get him myself... not to mention, she has known him a lot longer than me!
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Hair cut & color on Friday, trip to AC on Saturday.

  • Highs...Tristan and I along with my friend and her two sons flew to Virginia Beach on Friday for the day. We took an 8am flight rented a car for $15. We visited a friend of mine, went to the beach and downtown Norfolk. We took the 8:30pm flight home and we were exhausted.

Saturday we had a bullroast in Jarrestsville for football and partied until 4am.

Lows...Tristan losing his last game and the Ravens losing.

    Ate crabs yesterday.

Looking forward to the Zombie run on Sunday.
