I'm heading to Savannah (first time) next week for a wedding and wanted to see if anyone had suggestions for attractions and/or restaurants. We don't have much time, just one full day free, but I want to do at least one tour and eat somewhere good. There are sooo many tour companies when I look on trip advisor, so I just wanted to see if anyone here had recommendations of good tour companies to use or the top things to see in a short weekend. Thanks!
Re: Savannah
Do a trolley tour of the Historic District. Either Grayline (Oglethorpe Trolley) or Old Town Trolleys, both are pretty much the same. I think they offer a discount if you buy the tickets online in advance. You can get on/off the trolley as you like. In that short time, that's about all you'll have time to see, including City Market and the riverfront.
What kind of "good" food do you want? Seafood, steak? Fancy/casual? There's a lot of good restaurants.

When I visited Savannah, I rented a Scooter and drove around. It was a lot of fun and made getting around easy.

We were just there and we loved the trolley tour. We went with Ogelthorpe tours because they had a discount online. We also did a nighttime walking ghost tour with blue orb tours. I enjoyed it but my husband wasn't as thrilled.
We ended up eating at the 17hundred90 restaurant and loved it! We wanted to go for dinner but ended up there for lunch which was very reasonably priced and the food was amazing. It is a very unique and interesting venue which supposedly has its own ghost named Anna. It is right around the corner from Leopolds's ice cream so we went there afterwards for dessert.

We thought about the Paula Deen restaurant but it was so crowded and seemed so touristy when we walked past that we just skipped it.
The trolley tour would be the greatest way for you to experience Savannah. They are pretty inexpensive.
For breakfast, B Mathew's and Clary's are my favorites.
For lunch, check out either Soho South Cafe, The Boar's Head or Vinnie van Go-Go's.
For dinner, I'd suggest Leoci's, Cha Bella's, The Crab Shack or The Shell House.
