Halloween weather

Of course, it's going to be in the upper 70's this week, drop to the 50's/60's this weekend, then be upper 30's/lower 40's with a chance of SNOW by Halloween.

Poor little trick or treaters.

Re: Halloween weather

  • Nooooooooooooo!!!!  I want it to stay in the 70's until December 24th, snow until December 26th, then return to the 70's.

It snowed around Halloween last year, right?  I think I have a picture of Mason building a snowman with a pumpkin as his head.

  • I just saw that this morning. What a downer. The weather was miserable last year too.

  • I've been conditioned since childhood to plan halloween costumes around snow suits. :-p. Nolan's wolf costume came in the mail this weekend and it looks super warm and cuddly. Brinley's cape isn't as thick and luzurious as it appeared in the pictures, but I think with some layers under the dress she should be fine as well.

I am fairly certain I made a snowman with orange dracula fangs last year around halloween. But I think it was just after, since the fangs likely came from daycare.

It was just before Halloween, my brother got married on 10/29; they planned for a fall wedding, but the ground was snow-covered instead.  I think it had melted by Halloween, but I do remember it raining for ToT last year.

  • It did snow close to Halloween last year - I remember thinking it would make for a memorable first Halloween for Claire. Then all the snow melted and it ended up just being cold/rainy on trick or treat night :(
  • Yup - Emmy is right! I remember walking my kids around in the cold last year while DH sat on the driveway with a nice warm burn barrel fire handing out treats. I think it's time to trade places!

  • Hate that word that starts with an S.  Sigh.

It did sn...the Saturday before Halloween last year because they cancelled the Swissvale parade.

  • It snowed on the 29th last year - I ran a costumed Halloween race and it was actively snowing.  Then at Christmas, it was yucky and warm.  Boo!!!  Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow (starting in November!)
