travel with infant: snap n'go or umbrella stroller?

We are flying to overseas for a week when DD will be 16 weeks old. We are bringing our car seat. Currently we are using a snap n-go which is awesome. But DD doesn't like to be in her car seat when she is awake. Would it make sense to buy the umbrella stroller now and take that instead? The one I want does recline and says it can be used from 3 months.

Re: travel with infant: snap n'go or umbrella stroller?

  • I would take the umbrella, as long as its comfortable for DD as well as you guys(I see so many umbrellas that look uncomfortable for everyone involved).    I know keeping infants in their carseats for extended periods of time is warned against, and could be a nightmare if she doesn't like her carseat.

  • id definitely go with the umbrella stroller.  when my kids were little we always took a reclining umbrella stroller and they did great.  plus, she will be able to see more which might make her happier and it will be a lot easier for you guys!  have a great trip!

  • I would also do the umbrella.  It's a pain to try to maneuver clunky strollers around in Europe.

Umbrella all the way.  Our Macleran got the most use of any of our strollers
