Weekend plans?

What's everyone up to this weekend?

Tonight DH and I are going to a wedding reception for our friends (they got married in Vegas), so that should be fun. Tomorrow we're taking MIL out to dinner for her birthday....we're both hoping either we go to an early dinner or that she picks a restaurant with TVs so we can still watch the OU game. Embarrassed

Sunday afternoon we're going to Yukon to carve pumpkins with some of my family. Good times! :)

Re: Weekend plans?

  • Poor DH has to work all weekend (stupid inventory). I would love to take M to a pumpkin patch Satuday, but I really don't want to go by myself.

Tonight we don't have any plans. M has a Halloween party at her school this afternoon so I'm sure I will be trying to keep her out of the candy all night. I'm also secretly hoping the ILs offer to take M for the night. They did mention something about it a couple of days ago.

Saturday I need to take the dog to the groomers, M and I will carve a pumpkin, some house cleaning, and watching the OU game.

Sunday is church, cleaning house, and getting ready for the next week.

  • My sister and her boyfriend are throwing a Halloween party tonight, so my mom's going to take JJ for the weekend. I think we're going out dancing, too...hope I don't freeze my @ss off in my costume.

Need to do some shopping at Sprouts tomorrow morning, then we're headed to the OSU game. Haven't decided where I'm going to watch the OU game...might go to BDubb's or something.

Sunday will find me crashing out at my sister's place until my mom meets up with me to bring JJ back. Might head to Toys'R'Us and do some scoping out for Christmas/birthday gifts for JJ. Need to go to the Commissary, too.

  • H is getting an MRI done this morning on his back and after that we are headed to the farm to pick up one of his machines and drive tiny around on a tractor.  I'm advocating for lunch at Eischens or Johnnies...yum :)

Tomorrow H is having a guys night and I'm hanging out with one of my friends and tiny.  We will probably make some food and watch the OU game.

Sunday will probably be church and H working on a few things in the shop.  He's almost done with his project and I'm glad because he's been out there every evening.

  • Tonight I have parent/teacher conferences and then I'm headed to Tulsa for the Tulsa Run tomorrow morning.

After the race, we have a family reunion which I've got mixed feelings about attending.

Sunday I think will be last minute wedding prep stuff and unfortunately that includes house cleaning.

  • I'm working on getting the house cleaned today and then v and I are going to a "Mummy and Son" dance tonight.  Tomorrow we are going to a parade and a Halloween festival with the kids.  Tomorrow night will probably be a movie night and Sunday my parents are taking the bigs to the phillharmonic so m, g, and I are going to look at houses.  Sunday afternoon is the church's fall fest.

  • Tonight we might be going out to dinner with one of my friends and her husband. I'm going to have to drag DH. He has no desire to meet her husband. They won't have anything in common.

I work til 4 or 5 (however long I can make it) on Sat and Sunday. After work I need to stop by Sephora and Kohls one of those days. We are also going to the pumpkin patch and carving pumpkins one of those evenings too.

  • Tonight, we have no plans. A co-worker's band is playing at a pub, so we might go check that out, or we might stay home with some wine and books. Both sound pretty great.

Tomorrow, we're doing Halloween-y things. We don't have SD this weekend, which is the first time we haven't had her on Halloween weekend since we've been together, so I'm excited to do some more adult Halloween activities. Options so far include scary movies on Netflix, baking some Halloween treats, going to the GGW parade, and possibly hitting up a haunted house downtown. Should be fun!

Sunday I think we're going to get started on some home reno stuff. Yay! Might go shopping for hardwood/ceramic wood tile. Probably won't be purchasing it anytime soon, but I'd like to make a decision. Might try and figure out wall colors.

  • I'm currently stuck at home with little guy while we get carpet installed. Hopefully they'll finish up soon so we can go run around and get stuff done.

Tonight we'll probably go out to eat at our new favorite pho place, then reorganize the living room. We need to do a seasonal clean out of closets, so hopefully we'll get to that tonight or Sunday.

Saturday DH is spending time with his brother who is in town, and I think his brother's wife is going to come hang out with me while they do guy stuff. Saturday night we have a family wedding AngryAngry It's at 5, and the game isn't until 7, but seriously? Who does that? I don't think the bride realizes just how many guests she's going to lose at 7 p.m., whether they leave or just pull out their iphones.

Sunday we'll go to church, and I have a baby shower to go to that afternoon. Then some lesson planning and grading.

  • Fall weddings are hard, because its not like you can wait for the football schedule to come out to plan things and book venues/vendors (and then you can't accomodate every team's schedule anyhow). I don't think there are major conflicts with mine, but its totally a result of luck of the draw since we picked the date based on venue availability a year ago.

  • Carnival tonight with the kids.  Selling a house tomorrow followed by a Halloween party (to celebrate) tomorrow night.  I will work on Sunday too but I am betting that with the weather I don't see a single person.  Monday evening we are going to Haunt the Zoo, I am looking forward to that!

You know, I get this, I really do. I'm not even that big of a football person.

What's interesting to me is that the bride comes from a huge OU football family with season tickets. And, the ceremony/reception venue is her parents' house, so she didn't have to worry about that availability. All our male family members are just kind of scratching their heads at scheduling it on this particular date, when the venue wasn't a concern, and they got engaged after the football schedule was released.

  • Tonight, nothing. Went to happy hour with co-workers, then came home and watched a couple of shows on the DVR. I'm about to go to bed. I didn't get much sleep Wednesday night so I'm catching up.

Tomorrow: In the morning, I'm going to the state cross country meet to watch one of my band kids run and take pictures for the yearbook. After that I'm going to a marching band contest. Later that evening, I'm having dinner with some students and watching the finals of that marching contest. Seems like it's going to be too pretty to stay inside all day!

Sunday: normal Sunday stuff: groceries, cleaning, maybe chest freezer shopping, community band.

  • This morning we walked in a parade in Moore to support my uncle who is running for court clerk. Then I met with a birth client (who is having a HBAC, I'm excited) and h and I are about to head to Norman for the game.

Tomorrow is church and then resting.
