I bought Anthony a shirt that had a newspaper boy on it holding a newspaper that says EXTRA: I'm Going to be a FATHER. We went to his brother's Halloween event and his dad saw it first. It was completely dark, but he had a flashlight and was able to see it. Then our nephews saw the shirt. His mom saw it a little while later from a distance and was so excited when she read it. His cousin found out next and couldn't belive it either.
Last to find out yesterday was his Aunt and Uncle. It took her the longest to see the shirt because she was so happy to see us since it's been about a month since she last saw us. It was so funny because she kept looking at him and didn't see the shirt for 5 - 7 mins. When she saw it she covered her mouth and back up in shock and amazement.
Today we are going to tell his grandparents and other cousin before I announce it on facebook. I can't wait. We called my parents and told them yesterday on the way to see Ant's parents.
PS I'll try to get a picture of him in his shirt and put it on here later

Re: Sharing the News w/ Family!

Aww that's such a cute idea! I keep trying to come up with a way to tell our families and even J. I guess I have a good 1 1/2 years to perfect it haha.
Have you come up with your "coming out" for facebook yet?
I posted the clip from the I Love Lucy episode where she tries to tell Ricky all day she's pregnant. She finally goes to the show and requests for the song "We're Having a Baby" to be played. I'll add the link to the clip.

Our cousin told people the day after she got her positive HPT too. I guess we are just different. I am not going to worry about the "what if's". I know they are a possibility, but I won't let them run my life.
Each person has their own time when they feel comfortable sharing the news. Most of the websites I read said NOT to share so early like we did, but oh well.
That is so cute. I love it
I hope what I said didn't come off the wrong way. I didn't mean it to sound mean or snotty. Yes, you're right that each person has their own time when they feel comfortable sharing. And I agree that you can't let "what if's" run your life. I just tend to worry a lot about everything in life, but that's one of my flaws.

You didn't come of snotty at all, my reply may have though, and if it did I'm sorry. I've been through a lot in the past, battling depression, and having this baby now celebrates me being off anitdepressants for a full year and being healed. So this baby is very special. We waited this long so there would be no traces of the medicine in my system at all. I wonder "what if" I end up suffering from post partum depression, but I can't focus on it.
DH is like you and worries about EVERYTHING in life. He told me we have to prepare for the worst and while I know things may not be perfect, I can't focus on it.
No, you didn't. I hear ya about battling depression. I still battle with it. I'm taking Sam-E, which is all natural. It helps to put me in a good mood. I also wonder if I'll suffer from post-partum. My SIL said she had it pretty bad with her 2nd, but at that time she was also dealing with a cheating boyfriend and was terrible to her and their two little ones. You and I have great DHs and we know they will be nothing but supportive no matter if we have PPD or not.

Megan, I just wanted to say congratulations on your pregnancy as well as being off antidepressants for a year!
