I realize it's been out since August, but on a whim DH and I decided to watch it On Demand this weekend (what a whild Saturday night, huh?) Has anyone else seen it? What are your thoughts?

    DH and I watched it last night.  I already knew some of the things from it...but, some of the other things were jaw droppers to say the least.  Though I think he is a likable enough person, it's no secret that I don't support his views or his vision for this country.  Interestingly enough, over the weekend I ended up seeing a show in tv where people were basically preparing for terrible things to happen to this country (just like what happens in third world countries)...and DH and I actually began arguing (he thought it was absolutely possible for that to happen here, and I said no way).  ...looks like he may be right if things don't change for the better.  Though I'm not for war, I'm also not for others thinking that they can come into this country and change our way of life.  I'm very well aware that that's what we do when we invade other spaces, and I have mixed feelings about that.  But on a global scale, I just think that this whole nuclear weapon thing is scary.  It's scary that we've depleted our fleet by more than half already.  I'm not a hugely political person, but I feel that this election is unbelievably important.  I agree with Obama on one thing...if you can go out and vote, you should exercise that right.  It's crucial.  I just hope that people go into this election with both eyes open.  I don't support republican views 100%...and I don't necessarily hate all democratic views.  However, I've read a bit about the shortcomings of both candidates and the lesser of two evils will be my vote.  I just hope that others don't vote on a whim...our country depends on it, no matter who you vote for.

    I have not seen it, but would expect it to be full of alarmist speculation, and propaganda based on what I have read. Not something I am at all interested in supporting.

    I tend to place my vote regarding fiscal issues rather than social issues--so Obama didn't have my vote anyways.  But I did think that it raised some interesting points.  I was also really taken aback by our reduction in nuclear weapons. 

    I was really anxious ot hear if any Obama supporters have seen it and what their views were.

    Me too.  I wonder what the response to this movie is from people who are actively supporting Obama.  I should add, though, that I would also have viewed a movie about Romney if one existed.  I tend to believe that in all the blown up propaganda, there is a little bit of truth, no matter which candidate we're talking about.

    I didn't watch, and I wouldn't watch this style of documentary on Romney either.  Whether it's coming from Dinesh Desouza (sp?) or Michael Moore, there's obviously a biased agenda, so these types of documentaries just aren't for me.
